Madan Roka: Messi in great form. Brilliant goal.
Only two of Lionel Messi's 49 goals in 2014 came with his head.
Lionel Messi scores a rare header but it's a fantastic one to give Barcelona the lead. Ivan Rakitic's ball forward is wonderfully guided into the net by the 'second best player in the world'.
There's been a second chance...
Ivan Rakitic's corner is fired into Lionel Messi, who has a go from 12 yards out but his low effort is scooped onto the crossbar by keeper Fabricio Agosto.
The first real chance.
Barcelona play nice little triangles but then the ball through to Jordi Alba down the byeline is overhit and he does well to keep it in - his cross is straight at keeper Fabricio Agosto however.
Deportivo have a chance to break with Ivan Cavaleiro in possession around the centre circle, he sprays the ball out left to Oriol Riera but it's a terrible pass and it's out of play.
Not the first bad ball Riera will have had this season, having just moved from Championship Wigan.
Neymar does a little dance but can't find any of his team-mates in the box - chance wasted for Barcelona.
Not much to report yet. Will Neymar be as happy at full-time as he looked before kick-off?
Deportivo, wearing their famous blue and white, get us under way.
Barcelona, for the record, wearing a less than famous crimson.
Coin tossed, hands shaken. Almost ready to go.
Spanish La Liga
Wondering what's going on here? You're not the only one.
Well, what's unusual about a woman holding her dogs, dressed up in Atletico Madrid kits, being blessed by a priest.
Hundreds of pet owners bring their animals to be blessed every year on the day of San Anton, Spain's patron saint of animals. Apparently.
The blessing took place on Saturday and clearly brought the team good luck as they won 2-0 in their home La Liga match against Granada in a match that's just finished.
Third-placed Atletico are now level on points with Barcelona.
Deportivo hand a first start to striker Oriol Riera, who joined on loan from Wigan this month. The former Barcelona youngster scored one goal in 13 Championship appearances this season.
Barcelona are unchanged from the side who beat Atletico Madrid in their last league game.
Deportivo: Fabricio, Juanfran, Sidnei, Lopo, Luisinho, Bergantinos, J Dominguez, Medunjanin, Cuenca, Cavaleiro, Riera.
Barcelona: Bravo, Jordi Alba, Alves, Pique, Mascherano, Rakitic, Busquets, Iniesta, Suarez, Messi, Neymar.
So we want to know your thoughts, should Lionel Messi leave Barcelona and if so where should he go? And don't just name your team! I've made my peace with the fact he won't join Limerick, you need to do the same.
And we also want to know if you think Barcelona will dominate European football once again or is their dynasty over?
Oh and while we're thinking about Deportivo, how good was Juan Carlos Valeron? He would definitely have been called a 'baller' by the youth of today.

In their way today are a side who were one of Spain's top clubs in the early 2000s. Deportivo La Coruna won the first league title of the millennium and finished second the next two seasons.
However sadly for their fans, times have not been so good recently. They have been relegated twice this decade, bouncing back at the first attempt both times - including this summer.
Victor Fernandez's side sit only outside of the relegation zone by one point and none of their players have scored more than two goals this season.
Since this supposed implosion, they have won both their matches. Their front three of Neymar, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi all scored in a 3-1 win over Atletico Madrid, and then a weakened team thrashed Elche in the Spanish cup on Thursday.
While that may have eased some of the short-term pressure on Luis Enrique, it would be hard for him to pretend all is well.
So what's wrong at Barcelona? Well after missing out on the title last season to a horse not in the supposed two-horse race, they trail leaders (and arch-rivals) Real Madrid by four points this season.
They are no longer the entertainment kings of world football; scoring 18 goals fewer than Real.
Director of football Andoni Zubizarreta and his assistant Carles Puyol - both legendary former Barca players - have left the club, with an early presidential election called for this summer. They are also under a transfer embargo.
Oh, and coach Luis Enrique - who was only appointed in the summer - has supposedly fallen out with Lionel Messi, one of the game's all-time greats and club icon.
Barcelona have three of the best forwards in the world - with a combined value of about £300m.
And they have been near-impenetrable at times at the back - conceding only nine goals in 18 La Liga games.
So things must be going pretty well.
Right?
Right?
Wrong.
