Liverpool
Won the FA Cup seven times and lost seven more finals. Only Tottenham, Manchester United and Arsenal have won more.
Liverpool's last win came in 2006 - Steven Gerrard howitzer at Cardiff - while they lost the 2012 final to Chelsea.
Bolton Wanderers
Won the FA Cup on four occasions, losing three more finals. They beat West Ham 2-0 in 1923 - the first final at Wembley, AKA 'The White Horse final' - Manchester City 1-0 in 1926, Portsmouth 2-0 in 1929 and Manchester United 2-0 in 1958. They're due one.
In recent times they reached the semi-final under Big Sam in 2000, and were hammered 5-0 by Stoke in the 2011 semis.
Just look at that crowd in 1923. An estimated 300,000 were inside Wembley. Amazing.
That's roughly the entire population of modern-day Nottingham. In one stadium...
BBC Radio 5 live's Kevin Kilbane at the Macron Stadium
"Ever since the Swansea game in December when Liverpool won 4-1, we've seen Liverpool comfortable without possession and they've built up momentum from then. Lucas has been pivotal in their recent resurgence though, so it will be interesting to see how they get on without him."
Liverpool start with Joe Allen and Steven Gerrard in midfield tonight.
"You have to say that's magnificent."
Bolton's goalless trip to Anfield 10 days ago may not have been the most exciting game ever, but hold on to your hats tonight.
The last time Liverpool drew 0-0 in the FA Cup was against Everton in 1991. And the replay was this absolute pearler of a 4-4 draw at Goodison. Watch, listen and savour.
Barry Davies. Commentary's zenith.
Emile Heskey is injured, Adam Le Fondre is cup tied, so it's all about young Zach Clough for Bolton now.
Zach who? Well he's 19 and has scored three goals in two professional games in his career, with all three being pretty special.
A slaloming run through the Wigan defence, and a cracking free-kick and a twinkle-toed individual finish against Wolves at the weekend.
He could make a real name for himself tonight. Get at Mamadou Sakho!
Bolton manager Neil Lennon: "It's nice to have the big names back again and under the lights it's always a special occasion.
"We're playing Matt Mills up front. With Emile [Heskey] sitting in that warm [BBC One] studio, Max Clayton injured and Adam Le Fondre cup-tied, we're a little bit short and we need a bit of physicality up there. I remember Matt Elliott doing it for Leicester - Matt is Matt Mills's father-in-law so there's a bit of a connection there. We're hoping the ball will stick up there with him up front.
"Bradford [beating Chelsea] was an amazing result and we wanted to be part of that and thankfully we're still in the competition.
"I don't want to build Zach Clough up too much but we think he's a very talented young player and I've no hesitation playing him tonight."
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers: "We expect a tough game but it's a competition we want to do well in.
"Steven Gerrard had a precautionary rest at the weekend, he felt his hamstring but he is very important to us.
"Daniel Sturridge is not ready to start yet. It's very early on in his comeback and we've just got to manage that integration back into the team. He is very determined to make up for missing five months of the season but he's also realistic."
Bolton manager Neil Lennon says he is playing defender Matt Mills up front. There are three changes from the side which drew 2-2 with Wolves. Eidur Gudjohnsen is back in.
Bolton XI: Lonergan; Wheater, Dervite, Ream, Moxey; Vela, Danns, Feeney; Gudjohnsen; Mills, Clough
Jamie Carragher: Myself & Ian Callaghan would like to welcome Steven Gerrard into the 700 club!
Love this - Bolton are playing centre-half Matt Mills up front!
Paul Warhurst eat your heart out.
Believe it or not, it's 50 years since Liverpool beat Bolton in the FA Cup.
The good news for omen lovers is that following a 1-0 win at a pre-Asda Burnden Park in 1965, Liverpool went on to win the Cup, beating Leeds in the final.
Great photo that. Not sure if you can read it but the Evening Standard's headline isn't up to much.
Liverpool FC: The jersey Steven Gerrard will wear tonight on his 700th appearance.
It's a trip to Selhurst Park for the winners of tonight's game. Here's a reminder of the FA Cup fifth-round draw.
Crystal Palace v Liverpool or Bolton Wanderers
Arsenal v Middlesbrough
Aston Villa v Leicester City
West Brom v West Ham
Bradford City v Sunderland
Blackburn Rovers v Stoke City
Derby County v Reading
Preston North End v Manchester Utd
I'm not intentionally keeping you in the dark over Bolton's team by the way - we just haven't had it in yet.
BBC Sport chief football writer Phil McNulty at Macron Stadium
"Daniel Sturridge, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini are ahead of Mario Balotelli on Liverpool's bench - the more it goes on the more you wonder what possessed them to buy him in the first place."
Sulaimon Adelekan: I scored a hat-trick on my 20th birthday as a 70th-minute substitute.
Sam Harris: Just before my birthday in 2008 I played at Wembley & then watched the Charity Shield. Great weekend!
What's your best/worst birthday story?
A bit of news from across the FA Cup as a whole this afternoon: West Ham have been fined £71,000 by Fifa for breaching rules over striker Diafra Sakho but no action has been taken over their place in the FA Cup.
Striker Sakho withdrew from Senegal's Africa Cup of Nations squad with a back injury but scored 18 days later in West Ham's Cup 1-0 win at Bristol City.
Bristol City say they are disappointed by the penalty and are "considering their options". Fifa has reprimanded both West Ham and the 25-year-old forward.
Football's governing body says a player cannot appear for his team when he should be on international duty.
But the Hammers, who got £90,000 from the FA prize fund for winning their fourth-round tie, have escaped potential expulsion from the FA Cup and will travel to West Brom in round five on Saturday 14 February.
It's a star-studded line-up on BBC One this evening. Bolton's loss is punditry's gain as injured striker Emile Heskey has been tempted into the studio to provide expert analysis, alongside former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy and ex-Bolton star Fabrice Muamba.
Steve Bower and Phil Neville will be on commentary duty for TV, while Alan Green and Kevin Kilbane will do the honours for Radio 5 live.
The mighty Ivory Coast are odds-on favourites to beat DR Congo
There is a touch of 'Bolton v Liverpool' in the first of the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals - as DR Congo take on powerhouse Ivory Coast.
Odds-on favourites Ivory Coast - aka The Elephants - have a squad that includes Manchester City pair Yaya Toure and Wilfried Bony, Newcastle's Cheick Tiote and Roma's Gervinho. Oh, and Liverpool's Kolo Toure.
But they face a DR Congo side - aka The Leopards - that came back from 2-0 down to beat neighbours Congo 4-2 in the quarters. And they have Crystal Palace livewire Yannick Bolasie the perfect 'David' to down Goliath.
Anything can happen. The live text is running and kick off is at 19:00 GMT.
