A crowd of over 40,000 is expected at the Stadium of Light this afternoon and it's a big game for Sunderland boss Gus Poyet. The pressure has been dialled up on him after FA Cup defeat at Bradford - is today a chance to blow away the cobwebs?

Sunderland have won just one of their last eight Premier League matches. Sunderland have netted just six goals in their last nine Premier League home games.

Got to go for it today...

There is just about half an hour left at the Riverside - where the Championship leaders still trail Leeds despite pummelling them from kick-off.

This morning we've been asking you: 'What is the thing you remember most from attending your first match?'

Junaid Khalil: Posh Vs Darlington. 1999-2000 Division 3 play off final at the old Wembley. Car broke down 3/4 of the journey. Jumped in the boot of the other guys travelling with us. Won the game 1-0 and Andy Clarke scored, got bottles thrown at our car on the way out. Probably shouldn't have had a Posh scarf hanging out the window. A great day out for a 7 year old!

Joseph in Newcastle: Newcastle 0-0 Blackburn in 1999. I didn't see Newcastle score in my first 5 football games. When I experienced my first goal the noise was immense.

We like it when a club adopts something from the away team. This is very niche, but a good spot from Chelsea today, who are serving 'Benny and Hot' in their Vialli suite.

What on earth is that? A good question. It's Benedictine - a French liquer - mixed with hot water, and it is pretty much only drank in Burnley.

Anyone had it? Has your club got a bespoke food/drink attached to it?

This morning we've been asking you: 'What is the thing you remember most from attending your first match?'

Stuart Tidman, Coventry: My first match - May 1985 - Coventry City needed to beat newly crowned League Champions and European Cup Winners Cup victors Everton to remain in the old First Division. The Sky Blues won 4-1, I was bear hugged to within an inch of my life by my father every time City scored.

Sam in Poole: It was the mid eighties, midweek game Torquay v Darlington about minus 5 degrees. It was firework night and the game was so dire everyone turned their back to the game to watch the fireworks on a field nearby!

Jack in Bristol: My dad taking my to my first game, Pompey against Millwall in 1992. We won 6-1, I thought it would be like that every game!

BBC Radio 5 live at the Riverside Stadium

"Football is an incredible game sometimes isn't it? Boro have created all the chances but the best two have fallen to Leeds. The worry for the home side is that when a goalkeeper is making save after save, he can become unbeatable. Marco Silvestri has been playing well for Leeds but everything has been saveable so far.

"Boro have had plenty of chances but they have snatched at things. Going behind seems to have rattled them, and Aitor Karanka will have told his players to keep their composure."

It's into the second half at Boro, and you can follow the action in that game in a separate live text commentary.

  7. Sherwood's Spurs debutpublished at 13:26 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2015

Tim Sherwood's first game in caretaker charge of Spurs in December 2013 was a 3-2 win at Southampton, with Emmanuel Adebayor coming in from the cold to score twice.

Can Sherwood repeat the trick and get the best out of his strikers at Villa Park? He certainly needs to...

  8. What would Sherwood do?published at 13:24 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2015

It's been a long time since a neutral could say they looked forward to watching Aston Villa.

But I am genuinely intrigued to see what Tim Sherwood can do with the job at Villa Park. In the relegation zone, with an awful goalscoring record and with attendances dwindling, it's a tough job to take on.

But the flip side is that with a bit of passion, some attacking play and a few wins, Villa Park could soon be filling up again.

There's huge potential there. Is Sherwood the right man?

When Burnley held Chelsea on the opening weekend of the season it was the ultimate clash of styles. The haves v the have-nots, Fabregas v Marney, Costa v Ings.

Six months or so on, the Clarets have won many fans with their attacking intent and never-say-die approach. But can they honestly trouble Chelsea this afternoon? They haven't won at Stamford Bridge since 1971...

This morning we've been asking you: 'What is the thing you remember from attending your very first match?'

Olly in High Wycombe: My dear Dad taking me to Vicarage Road to see our beloved Spurs beat league highflyers, Watford, 1-0. He got me a milk crate from the coffee bar to stand on, so I could see. The start of 32 years of following Spurs and counting...

Simon in Runcorn: I was working in Spain with American colleague visiting Europe for first time. Took him to Barcelona when Rivaldo scored "that" overhead kick. My first match was at Wrexham when my granddad took me to The Racecourse. What a contrast!

Chris in Morpeth: Newcastle v Reading in 1989. I was 9. I'll never forget the brilliant green turf, swaying noise and blinding floodlights. The toilets were a concrete latrine of pure filth and the smell of Bovril still stings my nose to this day. Magic.

A crazy game at the Riverside so far - how on earth Leeds are winning is beyond me. Goalkeeper Marco Silvestri is in inspired form for the visitors.

"Aitor Karanka has to get his team to just calm down and not panic. Middlesbrough have to concentrate on playing their own game. Neil Redfearn meanwhile, he will be encouraging his side to get up the park a bit more with the ball. To hold it a bit better and give the players a chance to rest defensively. But Leeds could have been 2-0 up if they'd taken that chance at the end of the half."

It's half-time at Boro, and you can follow the action in that game in a separate live text commentary.

"Sometimes when a goalkeeper starts to get so busy he can become impossible to beat. That shot from Kike was always rising you feel but Marco Silvestri did well to get to the ball. Middlesbrough's finishing has not been as good as perhaps manager Aitor Karanka would like, but Leeds have to get hold of it here. At the moment it is all Boro."

  18. 'I really like the pressure'published at 12:55 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2015

Brentford are desperately trying to get out of the Championship, Sunderland are desperate to not drop down into it.

The Black Cats are 15th in the table and boss Gus Poyet took the unusual step of writing an open letter to the club's fans earlier this week. However, he admits there is no other career he would want than being a Premier League manager.

"I like pressure because it's the way I have been brought up," said Poyet. "When you are in Uruguay and when you play football for the national team, the pressure is there to win. There is no other result, so it is part of my life.

"Can I work without pressure? I don't know - I have never done it so far. I have never played football or managed without pressure.

"I suppose it would be nice, but maybe I would not be myself after because I don't have the pressure. It's part of the game. I like it, I really like it."

Former Southampton and England striker James Beattie on the strange goings on at Brentford following confirmation that manager Mark Warburton and his staff will leave the club at the end of the season:

"It's a very strange one, the chairman has his own philosophy but I think Mark has dealt with it so well," says Beattie.

"He has come out of with an awful lot of credit but it will have hurt him after the job he has done and it has had an affect on the players, whatever anyone tries to say, you only have to look at recent results. They were in second place and now they are down to seventh place."

This morning we've been asking you: 'What is the thing you remember from attending your very first match?'

Kevin in Norwich: Charlton v West Ham League Cup October 1977. As an excited 13-year-old schoolboy I naively thought it wouldn't be a problem to attend wearing my Chelsea scarf. I was wrong. A joy to watch Trevor Brooking pass a football though.

Liam: Arriving here from Ireland to live in 1967, dad took me to Scunthorpe v Orient at old show ground I was seven, didn't have a clue what I was looking at but knew I liked it, 47 years later and still going.

Dom in Durham: My friend took me to see Norwich v Crystal Palace, my main memory was surprise/disappointment that you couldn't hear the commentary around the ground.
