  1. 'Not good enough from United'published at 10:49 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2015

    Match of the Day

Manchester United fell to a 2-1 defeat at Swansea City. United, who lost to the Swans at Old Trafford by the same score in Louis van Gaal's first game in charge in August, went ahead through Ander Herrera's goal, before efforts from Ki Sung-yueng and Bafetimbi Gomis gave Swansea the victory.

BBC Sport pundit Alan Shearer: "Swansea play some good football and I think manager Garry Monk is doing a wonderful job. The team have good spirit and they have been inside the top 10 all season. They are very well organised."

BBC Sport pundit Robbie Savage: "Defensively again, whether playing four or five at the back, Manchester United have a decent record but to watch them they seem all over the place at times. And again they were extremely poor against a good Swansea team. They have been poor from set pieces all season and have not been good enough away from home in the Premier League.

"Angel Di Maria for me has not been good enough. He played on the left-hand side of a three at Swansea - arguably his best position - but he was getting knocked off the ball too easily for a player who cost £59m.

"Yes United are fourth in the league but long ball from United? Unacceptable and not good enough."

  3. 'Burnley thoroughly deserved the draw'published at 10:40 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2015

    Match of the Day

Let's not forget about Burnley, who claimed an excellent point at Chelsea in their battle to stay in the Premier League.

BBC Sport pundit Alan Shearer: "Burnley did incredibly well. Yes, Chelsea had a lot of possession and they could have won it with the chances they had, but you've got to give credit to Burnley for the way they kept going. Thibaut Courtois was fantastic for Chelsea in the last few minutes.

"Jose Mourinho wanted to bring on Gary Cahill just before Burnley equalised, but he didn't do it because they were defending a corner, and they've been punished. It was a brilliant header by Ben Mee. Chelsea don't often concede from corners.

"Burnley gave as good as they got and they thoroughly deserved the draw."

  5. 'It's a leg breaker'published at 10:34 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2015

    Match of the Day

    Nemanja MaticImage source, Getty Images

BBC Sport pundit Alan Shearer on Nemanja Matic's 69th-minute sending off for retaliating over an Ashley Barnes tackle: "This is an horrific tackle by Ashley Barnes, it really is. It's dangerous, it's naughty, it's a terrible tackle. I understand that reaction from Nemanja Matic. It's not right, but I understand it, because Ashley Barnes could easily have broken his leg there. It's a terrible tackle, and Matic, for that, is going to miss the League Cup final next week. Barnes doesn't even get a yellow card."

BBC Sport pundit Robbie Savage: "Ashley Barnes should have been booked in the first half, and the challenge on Matic should have been a straight red. Matic is lucky that he's not out for six, seven, eight months. Mourinho's right today. Chelsea have been hard done by."

  6. Chelsea denied a penalty - part 2published at 10:30 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2015

    Match of the Day

BBC Sport pundit Alan Shearer on Chelsea's 44th-minute penalty appeal, when Jason Shackell seemed to foul Diego Costa: "Jason Shackell loses the ball and tries to make up for his error, but he catches Diego Costa and shoves him. He gets his legs caught up with Costa's. You can tell by Costa's reaction, by the way he slams the turf with his fists, what he thinks about it. It should be a penalty."

BBC Sport pundit Robbie Savage: "Martin Atkinson was in a great position once again, and he wasn't having it. Mourinho's right. He can laugh, because his team have been hard done by."

  7. Chelsea denied a penalty - part 1published at 10:27 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2015

    Match of the Day

BBC Sport pundit Alan Shearer on Chelsea's 33rd-minute appeal for a penalty after Michael Kightly appeared to handle: "This is a blatant handball by Michael Kightly. Martin Atkinson is about 10 yards away and Ivanovic is seven or eight yards away. Kightly turns his back and sticks his arm out. That has to be a penalty. It's not as if he's gone to block it with his arms down. His arm's right out there. It has to be handball."

"He's made himself bigger. His arm is in an unnatural position, to make himself bigger, to save a shot that's on target, so that is a penalty."

  8. Barnes escaped early yellowpublished at 10:26 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2015

    Match of the Day

    Ashley BarnesImage source, Reuters

BBC Sport pundit Alan Shearer on Ashley Barnes' 30th-minute foul on Branislav Ivanovic: "I think referee Martin Atkinson had a terrible game. Ashley Barnes goes up for the header with Ivanovic, he leads with his foot, and he's very fortunate there. He kicks out, with studs into the back of Ivanovic's hamstring, and that should be a yellow card."

BBC Sport pundit Robbie Savage: "That's a definite yellow card there. Ivanovic's reaction is quite poor, with the way he rolls over and then gets up, but I agree - that's a yellow card."

  9. Postpublished at 10:26 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2015

Well Mourinho couldn't, or didn't want to, comment, but luckily our Match of the Day pundits did.

  10. Postpublished at 10:21 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2015

Chelsea had Nemanja Matic sent off as the Premier League leaders were held to a 1-1 home draw by Burnley.

Branislav Ivanovic put Jose Mourinho's side ahead and it looked like being a routine win. But then, after they had two penalty shouts rejected, the hosts went down to 10 men as Nemanja Matic charged at Burnley's Ashley Barnes after his dangerous challenge.

Needless to say, Burnley equalised through Ben Mee late on, leaving Mourinho, not for the first time this season, absolutely livid.

Referring to notes in his post-match BBC interview, Mourinho said: "There are four moments of the game where you can write the story. Minutes 30, 33, 43 and 69. Don't ask me more questions. I can't go through the incidents. I am punished when I refer to them."
