What is the best team talk you have ever heard? Ever had a manager who changed the course of a game you played in with a few words of wisdom? Or - do you run your local team and have the gift of the gab? Do let us know...

Jordan Malbon: Was made captain for the day for my local team and the coach was telling me to scream my heart out, show my passion and show no mercy. We got beat 9-0 that day and I was dropped for the next two games.

It was not just the ignominy of losing 4-0 at home, but the ignominy of losing 4-0 to Aston Villa. With all due respect to Villa, who had only managed to score four away goals all season prior to their trip up north.

As if that wasn't humiliating enough, BBC Score pundit and former Blackburn and Norwich striker Chris Sutton said Sunderland were "like a pub team" after midfielder Seb Larsson failed to appear at the start of the second half.

The Black Cats are now only a point above the relegation zone.

Sunderland head coach Gus Poyet said:

"We lost in the worst way possible and we're not getting it right. We need to perform and are not doing so.

"We have no-one to blame apart from ourselves. It's about being professional, standing up and correct it or it will be danger.

"We haven't been in the bottom three all year, but we aren't winning enough and have put ourselves in a difficult situation."

  3. Scottish League Cup finalpublished at 10:56 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2015

Huge game up north today. Hampden Park in Glasgow will be buzzing as Celtic take on Dundee United in the Scottish League Cup final.

It is a second cup final in two years for the Terrors (they lost to St Johnstone in the Scottish Cup final in May - the fans don't need reminding).

Celtic have won this title 14 times, Dundee United have won it twice - the last time in 1981.

You can watch live coverage of the match on BBC One Scotland and follow live text commentary on this very website.

Burnley celebrate George Boyd's goalImage source, Getty Images

We all saw that result coming didn't we?

What a goal by George Boyd - a strike which followed a shot on TV of City manager Manuel Pellegrini, who had the look of a haunted man who has a look of a haunted man.

That win moved Burnley up to 18th and on to 25 points - only a point behind Sunderland - we'll get on to them next.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche said: "Our will and desire to be in the Premier League is on show, but we won't get too carried away.

"We know there's a long way to go. The players are grounded. We haven't been broken from defeat - we've been dented a few times - but this win reinforces confidence and belief.

"I have said many times that the players are improving. They are growing and learning."

    That beard Joe Ledley?

QPR are in a slightly better position than Leicester, but it is now eight defeats in the last nine league matches - that is awful.

On Saturday they were soundly beaten 3-1 by 'Pardew's Crystal Palace®' and not even the delightful Matt Phillips 40-yarder was any consolation.

The Hoops are 19th with 22 points. They still have Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City to play.

QPR manager Chris Ramsey said: "I'm hoping nine games is enough - that's all that I've got so we'll go for it as best we can.

"The players believe. They're not bickering and moaning at each other.

"Some people are disappointed and some people are voicing their opinions, but they're still unified. All we can do is to keep fighting."

Comfy seats, uncomfortable position. Leicester are seven points from safety with 10 games left.

I watched the match on Saturday and wrote the report. All donations welcomed.

Leicester rarely troubled Hull keeper Allan McGregor, while Hull really should have come away with a win with Nikica Jelavic missing a couple of very good chances.

Leicester manager Nigel Pearson said: "We've got 10 games left, six at home and we probably need to win five.

"We're in the same sort of position as before. Our home form has to be drastically improved to give us the best chance.

"I'm not sure we could have played any more of an attacking style, but if players are having a bit of an off day they're having an off day."

Chelsea manager Jose MourinhoImage source, Getty Images

"So I prefer to laugh and say that envy is the biggest tribute that the shadows give to the man."

That was Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, who gifted the gathering journalists at Friday's pre-match news conference this beautiful metaphor., external

He was hitting back at his critics in his own typical manner.

I'm guessing he throws these gems out at will in the changing room, but have you ever played for a coach or captain who provided a moment of inspiration?

Maybe it was a rabble-rousing speech in the style of Sir Bobby Robson or Bill Shankly or maybe you were inspired by an action similar to when Louis van Gaal pulled his pants down in front of the Bayern Munich players. We've all been there.

Manchester United's Rafael (left) appears to enjoy his day out at the races at Cheltenham

Unsurprisingly, we didn't have many one-horse races at Cheltenham this week, the Premier League on the other hand...

After his side's defeat at Burnley, Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is a shadow of Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, looking enviously on.

Victory for the Blues over Southampton would seal the Premier League title. OK, slightly premature, but a victory would put the Blues eight points clear with two games in hand. Anyone want to bet against?
