What can England learn from tonight? Probably nothing. But Roy Hodgson will be delighted to see all of his forwards score, and Danny Welbeck's performance will be a particular highlight, I am sure.

It's all over at the Letna Stadium in Prague and England Under-21's return to winning ways with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Czech Republic thanks to Tom Carroll's goal.

  3. CLOSE!published at 21:26 Greenwich Mean Time 27 March 2015

Nice football as Leighton Baines and Harry Kane swap a one-two, it runs on to Fabian Delph and he shoots wide from 18 yards. Delph has had a few chances tonight.

Geoff Ramm: Harry Kane: Only 48 behind Wor Bobby now.

Sudhir Chaturvedi: Harry Kane scores after a few seconds. If he keeps this up he can get 49 in this game itself.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:24 Greenwich Mean Time 27 March 2015

Vytautas Andriuskevicius gets a warm round of applause but he's in a lot of pain as he leaves the field, there will be a few minutes added on for that stoppage. Raheem Sterling is fine to continue.

"Referees have to understand - not every contact is a foul and not every foul is a yellow card. Sterling overran the ball and they collided, simple as that."

"Well done to Harry Kane but I think Michael Caine and Citizen Kane would have scored against this lot."

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:22 Greenwich Mean Time 27 March 2015

Could Roy Hodgson play Danny Welbeck, Wayne Rooney, Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane in the same team then? There's a poser.

Sterling is the first England man in the book after overrunning the ball and going for a 50/50 with Vytautas Andriuskevicius, they are both hurt and Sterling is booked.

Sterling is OK but the Lithuanian defender is leaving the field on a stretcher.

Rickie Lambert had an England debut like Harry Kane's, scoring with his first real touch. It's a good habit to have.

"I was going to say some of this defending from Lithuania has been Sunday league-standard but it's worse than that."

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:19 Greenwich Mean Time 27 March 2015

Harry Kane has ticked all the boxes this season, and there's another one. England make their final change as Theo Walcott replaces Danny Welbeck.

    "The script was written.

"Raheem Sterling did well and Kane, completely unmarked, drifts into that position at the far post.

"What a start for him, what a night."

That's how Harry Kane will have dreamt his England debut.

Maybe not against Lithuania, and maybe he would have started, but you can't argue with that for impact.

Moments later Raheem Sterling weaves into the box and has a shot deflected, from the corner Kane is in the mix and Danny Welbeck has one cleared off the line. Still time for more!

Don't believe the hype? Believe it! With his second touch in international football, Harry Kane scores! Raheem Sterling crosses to the far post, Kane is free and heads down into the net.

He's been on the pitch for 80 seconds. All four England forwards have scored.

Harry Kane right through the middle as you'd expect and instantly involved to chest one down to fellow sub Ross Barkley.

Bekele Woyecha:, external It is a thrilling experience to watch England play tonight. Good movement, convincing attack and three goals so far.

Christophe Talbotski:, external Apparently Joe Hart has just finished the sudoku and has moved on to some landscaping of his 6 yard box.

Steve Howes:, external You need to play poor teams so average players can inflate their stats. As the WC showed, they cant do it against real opposition.

No record for Wayne Rooney tonight then but he does have a word or two for Harry Kane as he comes on. He'll be shooting from everywhere...
