Right, that's everything from Loftus Road today. In fact, that's everything from the Premier League today.

Now there is only one place for you to go - and that's Spain. Barcelona. Real Madrid. El Clasico.

Don't worry, you don't need a low budget airline to take you there - just click here to feel like you are in the furnace of the Camp Nou. Adios!

QPR skipper Joey Barton: "The league table doesn't lie. Over the course of 30-odd games you deserve to be where you are - you can't complain every week about bad luck. It is an unforgiving league, no team shows you any empathy.

"We still believe we can stay up - that is a fundamental thing in our dressing room. Now we have got to go out and prove that. We were the better side today but have got no points to show for it."

QPR boss Chris Ramsey: "It is very disappointing to lose. I'm hoping it can be showed how well the boys played and fought for the club. How we have not come away with three points is unbelievable.

"Fortunately for us the other clubs around us haven't won and it keeps us within touching distance. We need to keep playing like that until the end of the season.

"I think we can get out of it, other teams have done that in the past. Had we gone out there with apathy and not played how we did then it would be different."

QPR skipper Joey Barton: "When you are fighting away at bottom, things seem to go against you. Everton had three shots on target and they scored two.

"We knew Everton had just come off the plane from Europe, so we tried to play at a high tempo. I thought the lads implemented the game plan really well. To lose is a kick in the teeth."

Everton did defend excellently at Loftus Road, especially in the context of their horror show in the 5-2 defeat at Dinamo Kiev on Thursday.

Skipper Phil Jagielka and young centre-half partner John Stones both dealt with the pace and power of Charlie Austin and Bobby Zamora.

But Everton have still kept only four clean sheets in their last 20 Premier League games.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez on his side's much-improved defensive display: "The back four were excellent, especially Phil Jagielka. It was the most impressive performance by captain when it was most needed."

Everton goalscorer Seamus Coleman: "A lot of the lads were down after Thursday's defeat in Europe - not one of us could say that we played well. I know I wasn't happy with my performance.

"We wanted a reaction and that's what we did. Phil Jagielka was immense and Aaron Lennon didn't stop running - they made my job easier.

"We know we haven't been good enough this season and our league position shows it. We are too close to the bottom for our liking, but today we put it right."

Everton boss Roberto Martinez on injuries to strikers Romelu Lukaku and Arouna Kone: "It is too early to make an assessment. Kone took a knock on the knee and we need 48 hours. Romelu, it is more the amount of games and more fatigue and tissue reacting in that manner. We hope it is not too serious."

Everton manager Roberto Martinez: "That was an outstanding performance in terms of greed and the personality we needed to adapt to that type of game.

"QPR have been unfortunate at home this season, have created chances and today the result could have gone either way. We defended very well and scored two outstanding goals.

"The desire and application we showed gives me more satisfaction than any other victory. Now we have to make sure this performance is an incredible platform for the rest of the reason. We need to climb the table as high as we can."

Everton matchwinner Aaron Lennon: "This is a massive win for us. We picked up good win at Newcastle, then had a disappointing performance in Europe. But we did well here today - it is difficult place to come.

On his loan spell at the Toffees: "I'm enjoying my time here and I have done since the moment I arrived. Long may it continue."

Is that a hint that he is keen on staying after this season?

All over at Loftus Road! Vital victory for Everton, who stop the rot to move nine points clear of the bottom three.

QPR would love to swap places with their opponents. That's because they remain second bottom in the Premier League table - four points away from safety.

QPR are throwing everything at the visitors - I'm half expecting to see someone run on with a kitchen sink. Phil Jagielka and John Stones are leading the resistance though, both Everton centre-backs making important headers to clear.

As you can imagine, QPR are hogging virtually all of the possession now. Mauricio Isla slings in a deep cross from the right touchline but can't find a blue-and-white shirt. Seamus Coleman boots clear. Almost into stoppage time...

If QPR are going to nick an equaliser then you'd get short odds on Charlie Austin being the hero. The Hoops striker unleashes a fierce effort right on the cusp of the away penalty area, but an outstretched toe from - yep, you've guessed it - John Stones closes the door.

Shaven-headed Everton midfielder Darron Gibson grimaces as he pulls up following a bone-crunching tackle. His shift is over, I'd imagine. The clock stops as he receives treatment, before the Irishman decides he is OK to carry on. Hard as nails.
