Adel Taarabt almost produces the moment of magic that QPR need. The Moroccan playmaker jinks into space on the edge of the Everton area, before firing agonisingly wide of Tim Howard's left-hand post.

Can QPR dig deep in the last 10 minutes? Here's Adel Taarabt - sometime genius, sometime 'over-weight' luxury - to help them.

Deflation. That's the only word to describe Loftus Road right now. Well, apart from the corner which is housing the Everton fans. They are singing away to their hearts content.

Everton will ease any lingering relegation worries, moving nine points clear of the bottom three with a win.

But QPR will remain four points adrift of safety.

Everton back in front! On-loan Spurs winger Aaron Lennon, who was linked to QPR before going to Goodison in January, coolly drills in a low effort after pouncing on to a half-hearted clearance from the home defence. Excellent work down the right flank by Seamus Coleman, who provided the dangerous cross which QPR couldn't cope with.

Charlie Austin has banged in 15 goals this season, but has seen little opportunity to add to that tally today. Now he does. Great link up play by strike partner Bobby Zamora, who chests down into Austin's path on the edge of the area. But he can't keep his swipe down.

Another chance for QPR - another chance wasted by Bobby Zamora. The Hoops striker hustles his way in front of the Everton defence, only to lash over the crossbar and into the home fans huddled behind Tim Howard's goal.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 17:30 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March 2015

Another change of personnel for QPR. And why not? Chris Ramsey's last tactical tweak worked wonders. Sandro is ushered to the sideline as Karl Henry replaces the Brazilian.

Right, here is where we are after that QPR equaliser.

A draw here would see QPR remain second bottom, three behind fourth-bottom Sunderland. Everton would stay 14th, seven points clear of the dreaded bottom three.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 17:26 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March 2015

As the Loftus Road decibel meter combusts after that equaliser, Everton are forced into a change. Unsurprisingly it is striker Romelu Lukaku, who appears to picked up a hamstring injury. On comes Ross Barkley...

"Everton had plenty of numbers in there but they couldn't clear their lines. Eduardo Vargas picks up the ball from Charlie Austin, who had actually miscontrolled the ball, and fired into the roof of the net. Everton are on the back foot now and QPR will think they can get more than a point out of this game. It's certainly lifted the home fans at Loftus Road."

Even more bad news for Everton fans - but not for QPR fans! The home team are level. And it is the substitute Eduardo Vargas who lashes an unstoppable rising shot into the roof of the Toffees net. The Chilean pounces from six yards out after Sandro and Charlie Austin cause nuisances of themselves in the away penalty area.

Uh oh, some bad news Everton fans. Romelu Lukaku looks to have pinged his hamstring...

The ball pings around the Everton box like a pinball until QPR midfielder Sandro pounces. However, the Brazilian's shot is blocked by an Everton shirt.

Football fans are largely not known for being sympathetic - especially when they have got a relegation battle to contend with. The QPR fans jeer Everton striker Arouna Kone when he requires some treatment.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 17:18 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March 2015

First roll of the tactical dice from QPR boss Chris Ramsey, who has only won one match since Harry Redknapp left remember. Junior Hoilett's number is up, trudging off to be replaced by Chile forward Eduardo Vargas. The cheers from the home fans tell us that they are happy with that move.

Everton were pilloried for their display in Kiev, when they had a weaker defence than a convicted mass murderer. But they have cleaned up their act today, with centre-backs Phil Jagielka and John Stones looking particularly assured.

Chile defender Mauricio Isla is the man of the moment, again coming to QPR's rescue to break down another Everton attack. But the respite is brief - Everton winning back possession as Leon Osman tees up Darron Gibson. But the Irish midfielder drags his low 20-yard shot wide.

  18. Postpublished at 17:12 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March 2015

Despite Everton hardly having a kick since the break, they almost have a sniff of a second. The Toffees, backed by plenty of noise from the away end, spring forward quickly on the counter. Leon Osman races through the middle but is superbly stopped in his tracks by the covering Mauricio Isla.

QPR are hogging the ball at the moment, as they patiently probe for an opening. A ball is lofted towards the Everton penalty spot, midfielder James McCarthy is back there to head clear. And he is stood in the right position again moments later to hack away from his own goal again.

But then there are a few groans from the QPR fans as their team go backwards when holding on to possession.
