Gibraltar manager David Wilson says if his team can recreate their performance against Germany they can shock Scotland.

The Group D minnows have lost all four Euro 2016 qualifiers so far, but did enough in the 4-0 defeat to the world champions to show they are improving.

And Wilson says his team can prove ex-Celtic striker John Hartson wrong, who described them as a "pub team."

"We did things wrong against Germany but still came away with a fantastic result," he said.

"If we do the small things and we do it well we can upset anyone. It's happened for lesser teams than us on bigger stages."

  2. Who goes through to France?published at 16:15 British Summer Time 29 March 2015

There are nine groups and the top two from each will book a Euro 2016 spot, accounting for 18 of the 24 places.

The third-placed side with the most points (discarding those earned against the team finishing sixth in groups as one group has five teams) will also make it.

This leaves eight other teams who have finished third in a group to play off over two legs to provide another four sides. So that's 23, while France qualify automatically as hosts.

    Simple.

Scottish coach David Wilson takes charge of Gibraltar today, and he admitted to the slightest sense of divided loyalties.

He said: "I might not sing the Scottish one as loud as I used to, but the words will come out.

"I don't think there's a Scotsman in the world who would say when they hear Flower of Scotland, they won't sing it."

Michael O'Neill is preparing to do battle with a familiar face as an old friend attempts to derail Northern Ireland's Euro 2016 dream.

Finland are the opponents at Windsor Park, led by Mixu Paatelainen, the man who gave O'Neill his coaching break as his number two at Cowdenbeath.

"We both know each other inside out and how our teams will play," said O'Neill.

O'Neill admits he and Paatelainen have declined to swap advice about other teams on the road to France, but accepts the two men know each other's style.

"We're similar to players, I think. When you've played at a club with someone and then you've worked briefly with them as a coach, there's obviously a relationship there.

"But we didn't spend hours on the phone or anything up to that, so the relationship hasn't changed at all."

Scotland go bold in their bid to thrash minnows Gibraltar. Just one centre-half in the side so it could be a 1-6-3 formation or 3-2-3-2. Innovative.

Scotland XI: Marshall, Hutton, Robertson, Ritchie, Martin, Maloney, Morrison, Brown, S. Fletcher, Naismith, Anya.
