Anyway, here's something to cheer Burnley's fans: On to the pitch at half-time come two members of the side who memorably escaped relegation to the Conference on the final day of the 1986-87 season - Neil Grewcock and Ian Britton.

Relegation this season would be nowhere near as damaging as it would have been 28 years ago. On the evidence of the first half today, it's probably just as well.

There were 17 fouls in that first half: 17 of them.

By contrast, there were two shots on target.

"I'm afraid the quality has not been there. Both sides have suffered with anxiety. But at half-time, Leicester are the more deserving side."

"Both sides have had dominant spells but neither side have really got hold of the match. Leicester started well, which you would expect on the back of their three wins but Burnley have come into it in the latter stages.

"Neither side though have really taken control or had any real clear cut chances."

George Boyd finds a little bit of space down the right. Is this the big chance for Burnley? No. He slips, loses control of the ball, and then fouls Wes Morgan in trying to win it back. Commentating for tonight's Match of the Day, Alan Green's response is stuck somewhere between a groan and a sigh.

Aidan Mifsud: The Premier League would be a happier place without Hull and Sunderland.

Chris Bloomfield: I still think Villa aren't in a great position... too many in the team will be thinking about the FA Cup final.

Well, Sunderland are still drawing 1-1 at Stoke, while Hull are level at 0-0 at Crystal Palace. Aston Villa's game at Manchester City is a 17:30 BST kick-off. If everything stays as it is, Leicester will remain in the bottom three tonight, and Burnley will still be bottom. Long way to go, though.

Danny Ings is not a happy man. The Burnley striker, who has had no chance to impress, is barged over by Marcin Wasilewski, but Anthony Taylor deems it a fair challenge. Ings' response could be deciphered by any half-decent lip-reader, but cannot be repeated here.

Burnley have a chance to break here after clearing an Esteban Cambiasso free-kick, but Scott Arfield gets tangled up with the ball just as he crosses halfway, and the Burnley roar is stifled.

Meanwhile, Clarets left-back Ben Mee goes charging in on Leicester's top scorer Leonardo Ulloa, and is perhaps a shade fortunate to escape without a booking.

Leicester's Marc Albrighton has suffered a bang on the nose, and has to be treated for a blood injury. A change of shirt is required, and Albrighton now has no number on his back.

First real chance for Burnley as Matty Taylor just fails to connect as Michael Duff heads the ball towards goal from a Kieran Trippier corner, and Kasper Schmeichel scrambles the ball away.

And with that chance passing, Burnley reach the unwanted milestone of seven hours of play without a goal.

The foul count is steadily rising here, but Anthony Taylor is keeping his cards in his pocket for now. Burnley have a free-kick as Marc Albrighton handles Ben Mee's attempted cross.

Kieran Trippier takes it, but the ball sails straight through to Kasper Schmeichel, who has had next to nothing to do.

Warren in Leicester: As a Leicester fan, I wonder if we will ever get a decision go our way when it's a penalty one.

Leicester had a penalty shout earlier as Lukas Jutkiewicz appeared to handle inside the area while defending a corner. Referee Anthony Taylor turned it down.
