Andrew Morris: Manchester United looking dangerous but don't have that pure incisiveness of Chelsea yet. United shade the first half but still losing.

Richard Elliott: The way he is playing I wouldn't be surprised if this is Falcao's last game for United.

Atif Siddiqui: Falcao just isn't cut out for the premier league, get rid of him and bring back Hernandez!

Richard: This performance is reminiscent of earlier in the season. Slow. #CFC will just sit 17 men behind the ball and wait now.

J: Chelsea very lucky, done nothing but foul Utd players, got away with one which led to the goal. Poor officiating as per usual.

"Manchester United will feel hard done by to be behind but that was classic Chelsea - soak it up and then wait for the moment to strike. And the strike was perfectly executed by Eden Hazard."

  3. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:17 British Summer Time 18 April 2015

Half-time and Eden Hazard's 18th goal of the season has Chelsea on top. United seeing all of the ball but none of the points.

Great play Thibaut Courtois! So alert, the Chelsea keeper springs from his lie to bat the ball away from Radamel Falcao. A key intervention.

Chelsea going 10 points clear at the top of the Premier League as it stands. They had looked second best up to the goal - but they never looked troubled. A well-drilled, well-oiled side.

That goal started with Radamel Falcao losing the ball to John Terry on the halfway line. Not for the first time this season Falcao has looked like a fish out of water. Moments later he tangles with Terry again. He's clearly frustrated.

How composed can you be? Eden Hazard - for my money the best player in the Premier League this season - strokes the leaders ahead with their first chance of the game.

It's a well-worked goal, Oscar back-heeling the ball into the run of Hazard cutting in from the left, he bursts into space and knows just how much time he has, waiting until the optimum moment and then shooting between the legs of David De Gea.

Not unlike Juan Mata's goal in the Manchester derby.

Handball? David De Gea gets in a tangle with Antonio Valencia as they scramble to clear from in front of Eden Hazard, and De Gea pushes it clear with his wrist. Right on the edge of the box, if not outside. On the line.

Nothing given and no major reaction from Chelsea.

Not much of a 'top-of-the-table' feel about this game. It's Manchester United dominating the ball but Chelsea looking rock solid. Eden Hazard has been quiet but he remains Chelsea's out ball.

"Manchester United, and Ander Herrera in particular, continue to impress. Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has clearly detailed Kurt Zouma as the man to nullify Marouane Fellaini's aerial ability - now United need to make this supremacy count as history tells us Chelsea's resilience will see them have a spell of control before too long."

Super goalkeeping from David De Gea. His weakness when he first arrived in England was under the high ball but he dos brilliantly to come and punch away from in front of John Terry.

It's been a while since I saw a man wear a baseball cap backwards but the injured Diego Costa styles it out in the stands, just along from Andriy Shevchenko. He's done well to get a ticket. Must have banked some good loyalty points with a cup trip to Shrewsbury.

Tom, London: Re: Jamie at 17.07 Three centre-backs on the pitch is exactly why Chelsea deserve to win the League. It's not pretty but Jose Mourinho is the ultimate realist when it comes to the big games and it works. Just look at his record v Wenger or Fergie. Fellaini caused City and Liverpool all sorts of problems and Zouma is there to nullify him. It's a results business.

Hugh in France: Is that a record this season: 16 minutes before a free-kick against Fellaini ? He's going soft.

Bhavin Shah: Where was this Manchester United team at the start of the season - FA Cup loss seems to have been a confidence boost!

Jay: Why is this Chelsea defense so panicky against an attack consisting of Radamel Falcao?

Richard Dunlop: Smalling looks like he's got a mistake in him today. Drogba to score from a dodgy back pass, heard it here first!

FEMI JOHN ATOYEBI: Too easy for Manchester United. One-way!

Manchester United have had 66% of the possession so far. And Jose Mourinho will be happy enough. He'll take a 0-0 all day.

  18. Postpublished at 17:51 British Summer Time 18 April 2015

Radamel Falcao just can't get into the game. Or the season. He's a spare part. A very expensive luxury of a spare part. A luxury who will be a free agent in the summer - you'd wager.

    Where may he end up?

  19. Postpublished at 17:47 British Summer Time 18 April 2015

Should Didier Drogba have come back to Chelsea? He's a shadow of his former self and with every game he may run the risk of erasing some of the magic memories of his first, trophy-laden spell. He does well to shed Chris Smalling of possession but then he is too slow to be able to to pick up the loose ball and loses out.

Mind you, he's likely to win another title this year so maybe it was the right call after all.

"Manchester United have started very brightly and Ander Herrera is the man at the centre of everything. He is the deepest of Louis van Gaal's midfield, in the role a fit Michael Carrick would have occupied, and he is dictating terms so far. He has been one of the shining lights of United's recent good run."
