Hull have not set up to defend against an in-form Arsenal side, they've gone for three at the back and five in midfield, with Sone Aluko and Dame N'Doye the front two.

However, it is the visitors who have dominated possession in the early stages and they fashion half a chance when Aaron Ramsey crosses for Olivier Giroud, but he pokes over under pressure.

Hull manager Steve Bruce: "When you play against your big boys, you have to be at your maximum. We've managed to do that in our last few games but can we do it again? Arsenal are the form team at the moment.

"They have got great players - they have got clever players up front and it's imperative we don't let them play in gaps. We've given ourselves a good chance to survive now - everyone is performing at the bottom now."

    This is a nice touch.

Hull City say they will, external be paying their respects to Gregory Mertens, the Lokeren defender who died of heart failure after collapsing during a match last week. Mertens played against Hull in the Europa League earlier this season.

I can just about understand such scarves for a cup final, but Hull versus Arsenal on a Monday night?

Ben, london: I always think of arsene Wenger as admiral ackbar - master strategist but prone to falling into a trap every now and then. Especially when playing Chelsea - who clearly know the dark side of the force.

Adam in Northampton: Tim Sherwood is Han Solo. Cocky, Arrogant but comes out on top!! UTV.

Rob J in Brum: Tim Sherwood is Han Solo. A bit wide, but a man to have in a tight spot and one you know will be instrumental in glory.

Kim, Southampton: Not exactly a PL Manager I know, but Saint's Coach Sammy Lee is a ringer for an Ewok. Short, stocky, cute teddy bear with twinkly eyes!
