Is Jack Wilshere going to ease himself back into playing? Nope, he charges forward on a lung-busting run and clatters straight into a Hull defender, winning a free-kick just outside the home side's area.

Replays then show David Meyler taking a nasty knock to the eye at the other of the pitch by the trailing foot of Laurent Koscielny.

"It's nice to see Jack Wilshere back. Aaron Ramsey has been fantastic on that right side, his pass for the third goal was sensational."

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:26 British Summer Time 4 May 2015

Now Arsenal make a change and I would imagine there will be a few relieved faces in the Hull team as Aaron Ramsey, who has been excellent, goes off. On comes Jack Wilshere in his place, making his first appearance on the pitch after five months out with a knee problem.

Laolu Akerele, London: I still don't understand how hazard is always thought of as better than Sanchez, Sanchez proves this almost every match. The stats speak for themselves, Sanchez has more goals and assists in his first season in the premier league

George - London: We might not be as ruthless as Chelsea or other teams but i know which team i'd rather watch. This exactly why Mourinho gets irked by the boring chants. His teams can only play like that on Playstation!

"It was another one-two and Ramsey went for absolute power when he should have placed it, and he sliced it wide."

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:24 British Summer Time 4 May 2015

Almost for Arsenal as Aaron Ramsey volleys over from Olivier Giroud's flick. Hull boss Steve Bruce responds to the chances for Arsenal by making another change as defender Andrew Robertson comes on for Sone Aluko. It looks like the hosts are going to a flat back four.

Cheeky from Mesut Ozil as he takes out James Chester with a brilliant flick to send Alexis Sanchez away down the left. The Chilean tries to play the ball back into the path of Ozil, but Steve Harper is out to clear.

The Hull fans have found their voice but Arsenal are stepping up a gear as Santi Cazorla plays a one-two on the edge of the area and is about to pull the trigger, before Paul McShane powers in and hacks the ball behind.

"This is better from Hull - David Meyler has made the difference. He's given the team energy."

  11. CLOSE!published at 21:17 British Summer Time 4 May 2015

Hull have found some belief and it is almost 3-2 as Ahmed Elmohamady swings in a cross from the right and finds Paul McShane, who powers a header just over. This might not be as easy as Arsenal were anticipating at half time.

"Arsenal are complaining about the tackle in the build-up but it was a brilliant ball in from Ahmed Elmohamady and a good header."

  13. GOALpublished at 21:13 British Summer Time 4 May 2015

A lifeline for Hull as they pull a goal back. David Meyler and Laurent Koscielny challenge for a loose ball and it squeezes out to Ahmed Elmohamady, who lifts the ball into the area and Stephen Quinn heads home. Arsenal were fuming, they wanted a free-kick for Meyler's challenge on Francis Coquelin during the build-up but the goal stands.

Arsenal are good at finding and exploiting the gaps in Hull's three-man defence and Alexis Sanchez almost creates a chance for Olivier Giroud when he sprays the ball from halfway through the middle for his team-mate to chase, but Steve Harper is quick off his line to get to the ball first.

Hull boss Steve Bruce storms out of his seat and strides towards the edge of his technical area, barking instructions at an unfortunate player. The hosts have not started this half as well as he would have liked, with Arsenal continuing to look untroubled.

Hull are straight on the attack but it is nothing to worry David Ospina as Sone Aluko slices an effort well off target. Frustrating stuff for Hull boss Steve Bruce.
