"Juventus might have taken 0-0 before the game. It's not over and they are not through yet, but this is an amazing result for them. The fans here feel they can go away from home and get a draw. That is all they need to reach the Champions League final."

Carlos Tevez's 50th goal for Juventus was the difference maker this evening. He may well need to find another in the Bernabeu...

There goes the whistle and there are huge celebrations from Juventus! Gigi Buffon embraces his defenders. It was a tactical gamble to sit on a lead but it may have worked. It may have worked.

But a 1-0 win is enough for Real Madrid in the second leg.

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:37 British Summer Time 5 May 2015

As Pat Nevin says, Giorgio Chiellini has been booked for chopping down Cristiano Ronaldo.

"Fernando Llorente just didn't catch enough of it. The centre-forward, in loads of space at the back post? He has to get it on target with more power than that. That could be so important.

"I think Giorgio Chiellini has been offended he hasn't been in the book tonight. You could see that challenge coming 10 yards away."

Andy Gee: I'm pretty certain Gareth Bale won't get a rating in the Spanish papers tomorrow and he'll deserve it.

Nigel Hoskins: Bale off. Not been at the races tonight. Still would love him at Manchester United next season.

  7. CLOSE!published at 21:36 British Summer Time 5 May 2015

What a chance! Andrea Pirlo's free-kick in was brilliant and Fernando Llorente had a sitter at the back stick! Get your head on it and book the plane tickets to Berlin - but he hardly makes contact and the ball sits up for Iker Casillas to catch. Woeful header.

  8. INJURY TIMEpublished at 21:34 British Summer Time 5 May 2015

THREE MINUTES added on. Juventus free-kick on the left wing. Andrea Pirlo to take.

    Former Scotland international Pat Nevin
BBC Radio 5 live at the Juventus Stadium

"He isn't the quickest Fernando Llorente but if he passes it back there (see 87 mins)... it's moments like those that win games.

"Yes we know Gareth Bale's a good goal scorer but his link-up play? He and Cristiano Ronaldo have absolutely no understanding whatsoever. That's not really good enough for a centre-forward partnership. James Rodriguez has been poor too. He's another perhaps playing in the shadow of Ronaldo."

  10. Postpublished at 21:33 British Summer Time 5 May 2015

Into the last minute, Andrea Pirlo wastes a bright opening for the hosts with an overhit pass.

  11. CLOSE!published at 21:31 British Summer Time 5 May 2015

That could have killed it! Raphael Varane makes a mistake at the back and Juve sub Fernando Llorente is onto it! He goes round Iker Casillas but the angle is very tight, Llorente can't shoot and does well to cut it back - but Dani Carvajal reads it well and clears.

Carlos Tevez and Gareth Bale leave the field - after contrasting evenings. Jese and Roberto Pereyra are on in their places. Juve just playing for the whistle.

    Former Scotland international Pat Nevin
BBC Radio 5 live at the Juventus Stadium

"At 2-1 to Juventus this is brilliantly balanced for the second leg. Another goal for either side massively changes that. At 3-1 Juve will think they can do it, but at 2-2 they would have a mountain to climb in Madrid."

  14. Postpublished at 21:29 British Summer Time 5 May 2015

James Rodriguez is booked for a lazy challenge in midfield. Real Madrid haven't had a shot on target since they scored. That was almost 60 minutes ago...

Kritt Normsaskul: Have a feeling Real are missing Luka Modric in the middle. Some extra creativity needed to unlock the Juve defence.

Hari Sri: Sergio Ramos has been watching too many Paul Scholes compilations.

Avigar: Why doesn't Gareth Bale play on the left? With Cristiano Ronaldo up front now is the chance!

That is awful, Sergio Ramos! Dearie me, a terrible crossfield pass to the fans in Row C. Gareth Bale then gives it away too. All the best attacking players on the pitch and nobody to find them. Luka Modric can't recover soon enough.

  17. Postpublished at 21:25 British Summer Time 5 May 2015

    Former Scotland international Pat Nevin
BBC Radio 5 live at the Juventus Stadium

"Since the changes have been made there have been a lot of Real crosses allowed in. It's as if Juventus know they are capable of coping with that - 'we've got three of the best at the back' - and any ball in from Real has to be perfect.

"Fernando Llorente gives Juve a much more physical presence up top. Alvaro Morata gave everything against his old club tonight."

  18. Postpublished at 21:24 British Summer Time 5 May 2015

Sit back, sit back - Seems a strange gearshift from Juventus to be honest after they went 2-1 up. If Real equalise in the final 10 minutes, and they could well do, Massimiliano Allegri will kick himself.

    Ed Baxendale: Gareth Bale playing?

Frankie: Poor substitution by Real Madrid. Bale should be one to go off. Done totally nothing tonight.

Mich: Sergio Ramos is giving an absolute masterclass... of how NOT to play in central midfield.

Alvaro Morata - impressive throughout - comes off against his old club and another Spaniard, Fernando Llorente, is on.
