Cephas Ifeanyi: Barca just used their hand brake.

FEMI JOHN ATOYEBI: Boring boring #Barcelona. 10 men behind the ball.

Tom Strafford: Barca are looking lazy and Messi just had a poor touch. This might get interesting.

Thiago, to Robert Lewandowski, one more! Yes, on to Thomas Muller - he could go for a powerful drive or a cutback and in the end he does neither reallly, screwing a half-cut ball across the face of goal. Shame, the move deserved more.

Barcelona just soaking up pressure now which is not really their style. Another Bayern goal could make life interesting. They need three in the last 10 minutes.

  4. CLOSE!published at 21:23 British Summer Time 12 May 2015

Neymar rather unnecessarily volleys a ball into the stands and very close to Pep Guardiola's head. Lionel Messi gives the ball away and Robert Lewandowski sees his shot deflected wide! The crowd believe this you know. They are used to seeing the improbable happen...

Chris Goodall: Barcelona inviting unnecessary pressure on themselves, they've stopped playing since half time. Very risky.

    Rijesh: Game just got interesting.

Kanayo Umeogu: Now just 3 more goals for Bayern to score.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:21 British Summer Time 12 May 2015

Xavi on for Andres Iniesta, Xavi making his 150th Champions League appearance. Barca may be in for a more tense last 15 minutes than they thought - but they should still be home easily enough.

Thomas Muller with the enthusiasm of a springer spaniel. He strokes home a fine strike from the edge of the area and retrieves the ball, before whipping up the crowd and calling for more support. He still believes!

    Bayern need three more.

Last 20 minutes then. The game has gone nowhere in the second half but Barca put the tie to bed long ago. They bring on Jeremy Mathieu for Ivan Rakitic - Javier Mascherano in midfield?

Philipp Lahm trots off and Sebastian Rode comes on into the Bayern midfield. A thankless task tonight really.

Abul Kalam: Forget Boateng being bamboozled by Messi last week, Mascherano just had the same treatment by Lewandowski.

JudeWabuke: 4 more goals come oooon.

Barca's transmission hits a false neutral as first Javier Mascherano and then Neymar needlessly give the ball away under no real pressure. Unforced errors. Double faults. Thoughts on Berlin, thoughts on going on strike perhaps.

  13. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:09 British Summer Time 12 May 2015

Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic goes in the book for a late challenge on halfway. It's been an easy night for English ref Mark Clattenburg and his fellow officials.

  14. Postpublished at 21:07 British Summer Time 12 May 2015

Robert Lewandowski must be high on the 'best free transfers' list. Excellent penalty-area play. Bayern whip in a free-kick and Thomas Muller swivels to plant a shot wide.

Well that is top class. Simple as that. Robert Lewandowski gets the ball to feet, just inside the area, he squares up Javier Mascherano, rolls the ball from left foot to right and then in one movement sweeps a curler into the far corner. Lovely stuff.

    Bayern need four more.

So it looks like a summer of reflection for Bayern Munich. A good, but not great season. They've not had much to do to win the Bundesliga and they've badly missed Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery. Ironically they could have done with Xherdan Shaqiri this year...

Xavi gets a sprinkling of applause as he warms up down by the corner flag. The intensity and tempo has gone from this game now. Barca are through and we all know it. No injuries or suspensions is the order of the day now.

Neymar tackles by BoatengImage source, Reuters

Neymar sent tumbling by Jerome Boateng, who is at least close enough to foul them tonight. Pedro has been quiet since coming on.

Bastian Schweinsteiger picks the ball up in a good area but his touch just lets him down. Barca keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen pings a sweeping 60-yard ball over the top but Bayern counterpart Manuel Neuer meets it 30 yards from goal with a flying header. Two wonderfully good footballing keepers.

Bayern fans still making noise, I think they're singing a chant to the tune of 'Don't you want me' by the Human League. Bet Phil Oakey never saw that one coming...

Thomas Muller has come out pumped up, throwing his weight around and then arguing with the linesman. Barca happy to just take their time now, Gerard Pique and Javier Mascherano dictating from the back.
