It's just like watching Swindon!
Barcelona defend like Sheffield United, leaving Medhi Benatia completely free just eight yards out and he powers in a header which Marc-Andre ter Stegen can only get a hand to and push into the corner.
Exactly the start the tie needed. What a noise in Munich!
Yes, yes, yes! Brilliant start to the game. Moments after Ivan Rakitic's chance for Barca, Bayern counter with real intent. Philipp Lahm sends Thomas Muller away down the left, Bayern have men over, Muller waits before picking out Thiago arriving at full tilt, his shot looks on target but Gerard Pique makes a block.
Quality stuff.
It's all very well saying that Bayern need an early goal but they need an early touch of the ball first. Barca keeping it.
And now a chance! Dani Alves' ball through for Ivan Rakitic, ghosting in behind like a young Bryan Robson, but his low shot is well saved by Manuel Neuer.
Bayern haven't scored a goal in six hours of football; Barcelona have scored 19 goals in that time. Extraordinary!
Barca, in fluorescent, 90s rave yellow, make a start befitting a team pumped full of confidence. They keep the ball for fun, Lionel Messi trying an outrageous pass over the top with the outside of his foot. High tempo, terrific noise.
Here we go! Mark Clattenburg gets us under way.
A brilliant mural of the European Cup is displayed by the home fans who are making plenty of noise in Bavaria. An early goal for their boys and we may see what Barca are made of.
They spell out 'One city, one dream' on the far side of the stadium too. I had to put that through a translation tool as I can't speak German. I don't get sent to see Jurgen Klopp though...
Bayern Munich: Neuer, Rafinha, Benatia, Boateng, Bernat, Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Alonso, Thiago, Muller, Lewandowski. Subs: Reina, Dante, Javi Martinez, Pizarro, Gotze, Rode, Weiser.
Barcelona: ter Stegen, Dani Alves, Pique, Mascherano, Jordi Alba, Rakitic, Busquets, Iniesta, Messi, Suarez, Neymar. Subs: Bravo, Xavi, Pedro, Rafinha, Bartra, Adriano, Mathieu.
Referee: Mark Clattenburg (England)
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo could become the first players to be involved in 100 goals in the Champions League.
Here we go then, the teams are set to emerge from the tunnel at the impressive Allianz Arena. Mission impossible or a night of legendary comebacks?
Will it be as good as Swindon v Sheffield United? We wish...
Lionel Messi has scored 77 Champions League goals, four more than the starting 11 of Bayern Munich.
It seems everyone loved a bit of Ronaldinho in his pomp. What a player. Reducing the Bernabeu to silence, curling around John Terry, that ridiculous shuffle from left to right foot.
Blackburn might get him this summer.
SETH: Barca's team with Eto'o, Giuly, Ronaldinho and Deco winning the UCL is just the Best ever!
Steven Chandler: The current side. The front three make most defenders quake in their boots, and they have a cutting edge like a razor blade.
CHAMPIONS: 2006 (winners) Ronaldinho Eto'o Deco. Guile. Technique. Pace. Craft.

Staying positive? This Bayern fan looks happy enough. A 4-0 win and you're through...
Lionel Messi has 10 in this season's Champions League - the top scorer again. One more tonight - and an away goal - and surely this tie is toast.
Bayern need an early goal to keep it interesting.
Sam: Not sure how anyone can argue against the 2011 Barca team. They completely dominated Man United in the final and Sir Alex said himself they were the best team ever.

Cristiano Ronaldo has also scored an amazing nine goals in Champions League semi-finals.
A combined XI would walk the floor with anyone, surely?
Lifa Nati: No contest really, the Ronaldinho era was a marvel to watch, but Messi just perfected the art with the # of goals scored.
Robert Gleed: 2011 are the best team I have seen. Could be argued 2006 and 2015 were/are more entertaining, but 2011 were just unplayable!
Shaun: Can we have a combined XI? Ronaldinho in for Neymar, Koeman and Puyol in defence. Xavi in his prime for Rakitic
