We may get a first in the Champions League tonight - a cooling break in each half!

It may be only just about warm enough in England to take your big coat off, but it's scorching in Madrid.

The temperature was 36C in Madrid on Wednesday afternoon.

Juventus have requested cooling breaks from Uefa, external and it all depends on the weatherman.

If the temperature was 32C or higher 90 minutes before kick-off (about half an hour ago) then we will have a break in each half to allow the players to take on water after 30 and then 75 minutes.

I've no idea whether it was or not. Not much help there.

We saw this happen during last summer's World Cup, with the game between the Netherlands and Mexico the first to benefit.

Real Madrid may have been second best in Turin last week but their away goal scored by - who else? - Cristiano Ronaldo means that a 1-0 win will be enough for them to reach a 14th European Cup final.

Do they do boring 1-0 wins at Real?

Xavi hit the 150 last night, Iker Casillas evens it up tonight.

Just the one change from the first leg for Juve too, and it's a big one. Paul Pogba - the hottest young talent in Europe right now? - starts after a hamstring injury. He replaces Stefano Sturaro in midfield.

Juventus XI: Buffon, Lichtsteiner, Bonucci, Chiellini, Evra, Marchisio, Pirlo, Pogba, Vidal, Tevez, Morata.

  5. Midfield problems?published at 18:37 British Summer Time 13 May 2015

A squad as good and as deep as Real Madrid's should never have any selection problems - or so you'd think.

Sergio Ramos had a torrid evening against Juventus last week

But Carlo Ancelottti has struggled for central midfielders since losing Luka Modric to injury, with central defender Sergio Ramos filling in to, er, mixed reviews.

In the battle against Atletico Madrid in the last round he was a combative figure they needed. In Turin last week he was shown up at times, outclassed, outgunned and outmanoeuvred by Arturo Vidal and Andrea Pirlo. And Juve have got Paul Pogba back tonight too.

Oh, and Real's go-to central midfielder, Toni Kroos, is struggling with an injury too...

But Kroos is fit to start tonight, and Ramos has retreated to the sanctuary of a back four. Can Real turn this one around?

Spanish newspaper Marca calls for Real to "make history". A first ever Barcelona v Real Champions League final would be a pretty tasty prospect.

  7. Terrific Tevezpublished at 18:33 British Summer Time 13 May 2015

Last week it was Carlos Tevez doing the damage, the former Manchester City and United striker hurting Real Madrid with a brilliant performance in a 2-1 Juve win in Turin.

    Feeling any pressure lads?

He set up the opener for ex-Real striker Alvaro Morata and then won a penalty with a solo run form his own half, which he then converted. Tevez is in the form of is life. An away goal tonight would put Juve in with a great chance of reaching the final in Berlin...

  8. BREAKING TEAM NEWSpublished at 18:31 British Summer Time 13 May 2015

Real Madrid make one change from the first leg as striker Karim Benzema returns from a month out injured. He replaces Pepe as Sergio Ramos shuffles back into defence.

Real Madrid XI: Casillas; Carvajal, Varane, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, James, Kroos, Isco, Bale, Benzema, Ronaldo

  9. Time for the Real deal?published at 18:25 British Summer Time 13 May 2015

It could be a pivotal night for Real Madrid.

How will the finest set of eyebrows in football react tonight?

The Champions League holders look set to miss out on being La Liga champions for the third season in a row, world record signing Gareth Bale is not a hit with the masses and they come into tonight's semi-final second leg trailing Juventus.

And to make matters worse, rivals Barcelona are already through and waiting in the final.

Carlo Ancelotti's side have to win tonight. They just have to. Can Juventus trigger an 'interesting' summer at the Bernabeu?
