Fraser from Northern Ireland: With the exceptions of Sturridge, Coutinho & Emre Can, Rodgers has wasted hundreds of millions on duds & gets it wrong too often in big matches. Time to go. I'd take Rafa back but would prefer Klopp please

Joe from London: From an avid Chelsea U21 watcher; if Loftus-Cheek puts in a performance today I can see him becoming a regular next season - great physical presence with passing, shooting and pace unexpected for his age.

They don't Richard [any relation to the Quo?], they don't. Ruben Loftus-Cheek starts. What do we know about Chelsea's new face today then?

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a 19-year-old midfielder who has been on the fringes of the first-team squad all season. He made his debut just before Christmas, replacing Cesc Fabregas late on in the Champions League group match against Sporting Lisbon.

His sole Premier League appearance came at the end of a 1-1 home draw against Manchester City.

Andrew Price: Rodgers was always going to have a tough year, but constantly putting players out of position doesn't help

Ebrahim Sait: Looking at the two benches Liverpool have nobody to make a difference on the pitch compared to Chelsea

Richard Parfitt: Loftus-Cheek in the starting XI? Do my eyes deceive me?

How will Chelsea feel about Liverpool giving them a guard of honour?

"Very uncomfortable actually," John Terry told Fox Sports earlier in the week.

"Because they're fellow professionals and fellow peers, it seems a bit strange for them to be standing out. I think both sides will be a bit uncomfortable. They're a very good side, people like Stevie G (Steven Gerrard) I have a lot of respect for. It just wouldn't seem right if I'm honest.

"But if it's been instructed to them we'll accept it because we're very proud of what we've achieved but with that same token not being too ungrateful."

  6. Liverpool confirm guard of honourpublished at 15:04 British Summer Time 10 May 2015

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers confirms that his side will give the new champions a guard of honour.

"We are a club of class and humility", he said.

There are 20 minutes left in the early kick-off in Manchester but some QPR fans are leaving - and for once I can't blame them.

Their side have been terrible today. Rubbish. They are going down without a fight.

Combining his two spells in England, Jose Mourinho's win percentage is better than any manager in Premier League history.

He has won 135 of 193 Premier League games in charge of the London club, which comes to a win percentage rate of 70%. Under Mourinho, Chelsea have lost fewer than one in 10 league games.

Mourinho has coached Chelsea in 96 Premier League games at Stamford Bridge, losing just one (W75 D20 L1).

One summer deal which should surely be a formality - Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is close to agreeing a new contract after securing a third Premier League title.

Mourinho, 52, is halfway through a four-year deal signed on his return to Stamford Bridge in June 2013.

And further talks are expected in the coming weeks with the club and the Portuguese keen on a long-term option.

In his first spell between 2004 and 2007, Mourinho won consecutive Premier League titles and succeeded this season with three games to spare.

    Mark Lawrenson
    Football Analyst

"I am not sure what sort of team Jose Mourinho will pick now that Chelsea are confirmed as champions but it will not be seriously weakened because he will want all the players who won him the title to play.

"There will still be something of a carnival atmosphere at Stamford Bridge, though, and because of that I am backing Liverpool to nick a point. 1-1."

  14. 'Boring, boring Chelsea?'published at 14:38 British Summer Time 10 May 2015

Chelsea may have verged on the dull in the last month or so.

But is it really fair to chuck the 'boring' tag at them this season?

    Eden HazardImage source, EPA

In Eden Hazard they possess the league's best player. A player who has created the most chances from open play in the Premier League this season (88) and has also beaten an opponent with a dribble on the most occasions (160).

His deputy Cesc Fabregas has assisted more goals than any other player in the top five European Leagues since the start of last season (30) - one ahead of his nearest rival; Lionel Messi (29).

They have scored 69 goals in the league - only fewer than Manchester City (71) - won at least four more games than anyone else and by the final day of the season, they will have led the table for 274 days of the season - a Premier League record.

  15. 'Boring boring Chelsea'published at 14:36 British Summer Time 10 May 2015

The word 'boring' has been banded about a lot when it comes to describing Chelsea of late.

    Jose MOurinhoImage source, Getty Images

From chants from visiting fans to ironic chants from their own fans, everybody has a say on the champions' style.

In their last five games they have scored six goals from 16 shots on target, they've only conceded once and have picked up 13 points from a possible 15.

That's what you call making the most of your limited chances. Boring? Or ruthless, brilliantly efficient?

The first few months of the season were mightily impressive as your new faces threatened to tear the league apart.

At Christmas you faced a real threat.

But as your rivals faded you - perhaps understandably - dialled down the style and ground out the results.

    You are worthy champions.

But please Chelsea, for the sake of the neutrals, can you go back to the boys of (last) summer again?
