    And Wycombe will be joined at Wembley by Southend United who overcame Stevenage after a thrilling evening at Roots Hall.

    After Ryan Leonard had cancelled out Tom Pett's opener for Boro, Shrimpers striker Barry Corr hit the bar with a penalty in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

    But Southend showed great character to win it in extra-time through Stephen McLaughlin and Michael Timlin.

    Tom Garry was at Roots Hall to report on tonight's drama.

    Wycombe Wanderers were the first team to secure their place in the League Two play-off final as they beat Plymouth Argyle 2-1 at Adams Park to go through 5-3 on aggregate.

    Leading 3-2 from the first leg, Paul Hayes and Alfie Mawson put them in control.

    Ryan Brunt pulled one back for the Pilgrims, but Wycombe held on. If you want a re-run of the action, take a read of Phil Shepka's report.

    The road to Wembley in the Football League play-offs doesn't end tonight - who will play in the Championship final on 26 May is still to be decided.

    Southend midfielder Michael Timlin told Sky Sports:

    "We had so many chances it was one of those days when we didn't think we were going to get it.

    "Credit to Stevenage, they battled really well. I think we deserved it and we showed the character that we have got.

    "I was annoyed when I had to come off in the first leg but I was always going to make sure I was ready for this.

    "It was a bigger game than me and I wouldn't have played if I didn't think I was 100%."

    "They were outstanding: every single player put in a shift. They deserve this trip to Wembley. After everything last week and again tonight, it must have been great for a neutral - but I'm not a neutral!

    "Wembley or not, I'm so proud of that bunch of boys - what we've achieved is above what anyone would have thought we could do.

    "It was fantastic to stay in the league last year and we've just kicked on this year, Some of the team spirit and characters we have here are amazing - it's one of the best dressing rooms I've known in 25 years in football."
