Stevenage win the first corner of the second half which Simon Walton swings into the box but Adam Barrett is on hand to clear.

New snooker world champion Stuart Bingham is among the crowd at Roots Hall and he's watching a game that's akin to one of those tactical frames where safety is paramount.

  2. Postpublished at 20:54 British Summer Time 14 May 2015

Wycombe have the first shot on goal of the second half but Marcus Bean's sidefooted effort from 20 yards out goes straight into Luke McCormick's midriff.

  3. Postpublished at 20:51 British Summer Time 14 May 2015

David Worrall shows good skill to get into the box. His cross hits the arm of Stevenage defender Andrew Bond and appeals for penalty but referee Graham Scott says no. It would have been a harsh one as there was hardly a cigarette paper between them.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:51 British Summer Time 14 May 2015

Big decision made by Plymouth boss John Sheridan at the break as he makes a triple substitution with Jason Banton, Ryan Brunt and Zak Ansah coming on for Carl McHugh, Dominic Blizzard and Reuben Reid. Will we see a similar impact to what they produced at Home Park?

"It was a slightly cagey first half here and the wet conditions are hampering both sides' efforts to play neat, passing football.

"The longer the score remains goalless tonight, the more optimistic Stevenage will be of nicking a result

"Similarly, the crowd at Roots Hall will get more and more nervous until their side find a breakthrough."

  7. Postpublished at 20:45 British Summer Time 14 May 2015

"Plymouth fans are clearly not happy with their side's performance and current predicament, with boos ringing around the away end when the half-time whistle went.

"To try to cheer themselves up, someone lets off a green flair- they were probably hoping to save that for when their side scored, but that's looked very unlikely so far."

  8. Postpublished at 20:41 British Summer Time 14 May 2015

So just to clear up the state of play - away goals are NOT part of the equation tonight, or indeed in any of the Football League play-off semi-finals. If the scores are level after 90 minutes in either game, we'll see 30 minutes of extra-time followed - if necessary - by a penalty shoot-out.

While someone is dispatched to find a generic throat lozenge for the manager, you have to say that John Sheridan's decision to keep faith with Reuben Reid and Lewis Alessandra in attack is not proving a good one on the evidence of the first half. That said, they have been starved of possession and service.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:35 British Summer Time 14 May 2015

It's time for a break at Adams Park and Plymouth are going to have to stage an even more impressive comeback than what they produced in the first leg if they are to get to Wembley. Wycombe are in almost complete control. We hear Argyle manager John Sheridan may have lost his voice...

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 14 May 2015

Andrew Madley blows his whistle at the end of two minutes of added time and the players trudge off for a half-time cuppa.

It's been fast and frenetic and there have been few clear chances - the best of which was wasted by Barry Corr.

It's still level with all to play for.

    Tom Garry
    BBC Sport at Roots Hall

"He may be enjoying a rich vein of goalscoring form lately, but Barry Corr really should have scored there!

"How costly could a miss like that be for Southend?

"In a game of so few clear openings, you're going to have to take you chances."

You probably won't be overly surprised - judging by this photograph - to learn that Plymouth's Anthony O'Connor was booked a few minutes ago for this challenge on Wycombe's Sam Wood.

  15. Postpublished at 20:28 British Summer Time 14 May 2015

Big chance for Southend striker Barry Corr goes begging. He fools his defender with a lovely dummy and dinks the ball over Chris Day but also the wrong side of the post from 12 yards.

After that Alfie Mawson goal, Wycombe fans have begun goading those from Devon by waving around their phones in the air with the lights ablaze, mimicking the spectacle laid on at Home Park after the Pilgrims' late fightback last week. Looks pretty spectacular in this packed-in ground.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:26 British Summer Time 14 May 2015

Stevenage will have to make a change before the break. Chris Whelpdale looks like he might have picked up a groin problem and is replaced by Tom Pett.

  18. Postpublished at 20:26 British Summer Time 14 May 2015

Plymouth have finally been stung into action, forcing three corners - their first of the match - in quick succession, but they are unable to really trouble stand-in keeper Alex Lynch. They desperately need a goal before the break.

  19. Postpublished at 20:24 British Summer Time 14 May 2015

    Adrian Clarke
Ex-Southend midfielder, BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

"It was a brutal game on Sunday. This is not as physical but it is very competitive. It is a typical League Two fixture."

  20. GOAL Alfie Mawson (34 mins)published at 20:20 British Summer Time 14 May 2015

Let's just double check... no, it wasn't a replay of the first goal.

Wycombe score from a set-piece yet again as a near-post corner from Joe Jacobson is headed in powerfully by Alfie Mawson with Luke McCormick - who had made a superb one-handed save from Sam Saunders to concede the corner - again rather flapping at the inswinging ball.
