Diego Castro fancies his chances here and why not? Another break down the Getafe left but he fires high and wide.
There is a surreal atmosphere in the Bernabeu. Some of the fans are booing their team while others are trying to rally their troops. Cristiano Ronaldo, now on 59 goals for the season, hits a left-wing free-kick too fiercely.
This isn't the kind of opening that Iker Casillas had in mind with David De Gea supposedly waiting in the wings. Another break down the left for Getafe, the ball is squared to Diego Castro and he curls into the top corner for a wonderful start.
If the Bernabeu was already feeling deflated, you can add crank it down a few notches now. A Getafe corner is cleared and Sergio Escudero has space to fire in from 25 yards. A great strike, giving Iker Casillas no chance.
Gareth Bale on the bench for Real - here are the starting XIs for both teams.
Real Madrid starting XI: Casillas, Arbeloa, Pepe, Nacho, Marcelo, Illarramendi, Kroos, Rodriguez, Jesé, Hernández, Ronaldo.
Getafe starting XI: Codina, Martín Vigaray, Gomes Pereira, Ruano Delgado, Escudero, Rodríguez Villamuela, Lacen, Sánchez Gil, Castro, Sarabia, Hinestroza.
A reminder that Real Madrid will finish second in La Liga, sealing a Champions League place for next season. Getafe are 15th in the table but could move above Levante with a draw.
No messing for Cristiano Ronaldo as he heads into the net following a left-wing cross from Marcelo. Great finish.
John McEnerney: Huge mistake by Florentino to let "The Eyebrow" go & an even bigger mistake if he brings Rafa B to Real if the rumours are true.

Real Madrid have made a positive start to their match in the Bernabeu where the atmosphere is arguably a little less joyous than at the Nou Camp. James Rodriguez and Cristiano Ronaldo have been on the front foot so far.
So that's the first stage of a potentially historic treble out of the way for Barcelona. Just the small matter of the Copa del Rey on 30 May against Athletic Bilbao in the Nou Camp. Then it's the Champions League final against Juventus in Berlin on 6 June. Can Xavi play his part?
Paul Collins: Eibar have right to be annoyed. Barca haven't even attempted to win this game. Talk About a lack of integrity. Appalling.
Bit harsh isn't that Paul? They won La Liga with a game to spare. At least they didn't get thumped like Chelsea did at West Brom.
Joel Green: Xavi and @andresiniesta8 have been the Giggs and Scholes of Barcelona. The heartbeat of some of the greatest teams ever.
James Gallagher: If Sevilla win the Europa final then Spain will have 5 clubs in the Champions League next season
J A Tapia Owens: Xavi. Greatest player never to win a balon d'or. Made impossibilities look simple.

We are under way at the Bernabeu as Real Madrid kick off.
In front of a packed Nou Camp, Xavi stands to lift his eighth La Liga title as the ticker tape spirals into the balmy Barcelona evening. Could he back to win more as a coach?
Kick off between Real Madrid and Getafe, the last game of the season, is imminent too. Not much to play for but it could be Carlo Ancelloti's last game in charge. Can last season's Champions League winners give him a royal send off?
At the Nou Camp, the players are all on the pitch to salute Xavi. The Barcelona midfielder is due to receive the club's 23rd La Liga title as the fans display their full array of colours in the stands. It's mural time!
At the top of La Liga, Atletico Madrid seal third spot with Valencia grabbing the fourth Champions League place. Sevilla finish fifth but could head to the Champions League if they win the Europa League final.
Deportivo's success contrast with Almeria's sorrow. They lost 3-2 against Valencia and along with Eibar and the already relegated Cordoba, they will face next season in the Segunda Division.
Deportivo players are surrounding the referee, they want the game to finish and that's it. It's over. Xavi's farewell is spoiled slightly but the main story is that Deportivo are safe. Incredible effort from the visitors.
And the answer is no. Barca's Adriano receives the ball on the edge of the area, but he scoops his effort high wide and nowhere near the goal.
