Peru are knocking it about nicely but more often than not their final pass is letting them down. This is a much more even contest than many predicted. Brazil are being made to work hard.

Paul Turner: Cueva is a rising star for my local team Alianza Lima, also has a bit of a bad boy reputation. Vamos Peru!
Peru's threat is coming from Jefferson Farfan. The Schalke forward almost did not start the match after having an allergic reaction.
Neymar is turning on the style. A flick here, a step-over there. The Barcelona player is also finding himself increasingly manhandled as Peru's defence struggle to deal with him. He's not happy with the treatment being dished out to him.
Another chance for Brazil. This time Diego Tardelli is unable to take advantage after more poor Peru defending. This could be a high-scoring encounter.
Conditions in Temuco are like a wet Monday night in Wigan. It's pouring down in southern Chile and you can see the breath from the players mouths as they scream at one another.
We asked: Which home nations player would make it into the Brazil XI?
From Ramsay in Suffolk: Joe Hart (top 5 GKs in the world), John Terry, Wayne Rooney, Gareth Bale and (of course) Daryl 'Dazza' Murphy.

By the way, this is not the Fred who became a laughing stock at the World Cup. This is 22-year-old Frederico Rodrigues Santos who plays for Shakhtar Donetsk. The taller older Fred (Frederico Chaves Guedes) retired from international football after the World Cup.
You could be forgiven for making the mistake, though. Even Brazil's fans mistakenly booed new Fred at a friendly against Mexico when he made his debut.
More pinball inside the Peru area and Neymar looks certain to score. The Champions League winner pulls the trigger and the ball is heading for the back of the net before Luis Advincula somehow clears off the line. This is brilliant entertainment. And what a clearance!
We asked: Which home nations player would make it into the Brazil XI?
Omari Sinclair: Phil Jones at right back ahead of Alves and Maicon for sure.
Sulaimon Adelekan: Wilshere will start every time barring injuries

Brazil look like they are going to score every time they venture into the opposition half.
Fred goes close with a curling effort before Neymar fires wide from distance. This is going to be a long night for Peru's half.
Wale ibraheem: Oh dear David Luiz again! Just do the simple thing: defend.
L Higgins: Calamity David Luiz strikes again what was he thinking? Peru stun Brazil . Cueva makes Brazil pay
That pre-match downpour is playing havoc with both teams. Players are slipping and sliding all over the place. But that's no excuse for David Luiz's mistake and Jefferson's even bigger clanger.
Great entertainment. Terrible defending from both teams.
What. A. Start.
Peru fans are still celebrating when Dani Alves delivers a delicious cross for poster boy Neymar, who is totally unmarked, to power a header into the back of the net from 10 yards.
What a disaster for Brazil.
Horrific defending by David Luiz puts his own keeper under pressure and Jefferson passes straight to Christian Cueva who lashes home from 10 yards.
Cueva and Peru can't believe their luck.
Jonathan Maunders: My girlfriend's Peruvian so hoping for an unlikely victory for Los Incas! Vamos Peru!
Northing but a win will do for Brazil. We're under way.
Jay: Sterling will easily get in. If Brazil pay, of course.
Marcus McGowan: Gareth Bale and that's it.
Tim South: I think Joe Hart would perhaps be good shout
