Have Daley Blind and Nacer Chadli been to the same barber? The Belgian has his hair tied up in a pony-tail. Footballers these days, soft.

Morgan Schneiderlin trying a give and go, but it doesn't come off.

Nearly! Juan Mata has one, has two pops at goal but Michel Vorm has it covered and the ball dribbles wide of goal. The Spaniard looks away in digust, he didn't catch that one properly from the edge of the box. Had he got a better connection, it could have been two. Has to go down as a chance.

Dutchman Daley Blind playing at the back for United today, with his hair tied up in a bun. Not sure about that. Lad needs a short, back and sides hair cut.

Hasn't hindered his performance so far though, has looked assured in central defence.

Corner swung in by Ashley Young towards the near post but it's cleared by Ben Davies. Spurs on the back foot after a bright start. Can they recover?

Fair to say the Tottenham fans are not impressed by the home supporters - "1-0 and you still don't sing" is the chant coming out of their corner of Old Trafford, followed by another rendition of "shall we sing a song for you?"

Spurs have already scored for United - who are ahead without registering a single shot at goal themselves - so why not?

Nah. The wall do their job and block Juan Mata's free-kick. Strong from the Spurs defenders. Memphis Depay tries to side-foot an effort towards goal but it's cleared. The home fans have found their voice.

Manchester United definitely look better than they did last season but they won't win the title. We are all waiting to see what this Memphis Depay has to offer."

The home side get the goal and are on top now. Luke Shaw continues to bomb forward. Haven't really seen Memphis Depay get on the ball yet. The Dutchman manages to play a ball through to Ashley Young in the box, but Spurs get the ball away.

The Londoners need to gather themselves...

You feel sorry for Tottenham. Nabil Bentaleb, who has given the ball away already, is punished. You feel sorry for Kyle Walker. He tries to poke it away from Wayne Rooney but pokes it in instead.

Oh dear. Ashley Young plays the ball into the box from the right hand side and Wayne Rooney is one-on-one with the goalkeeper. The skipper gets his feet in a muddle and in an attempt to nick the ball away,Kyle Walkeronly manages to poke it into the net. Both Englishmen left red-face, Rooney for being unable to finish, Walker for being able to...at the wrong end.

Tottenham are getting a lot of time on the ball. But they have to capitalise on that and get the ball in the net.

Sergio Romero called into action and does well, sprinting off his line to nick the ball off Kyle Walker. Good, decisive goalkeeping on that occasion.

Panic stations at the back from Sergio Romero, a bit of pressure and he kicks the ball out of play. Very uncertain goalkeeping from the Argentine, who lost in the Copa America final to Chile last month.

Tottenham need to get a few shots in at him, see how his handling is.
