Watford 0-0 West Brom
Jurado is at the heart of everything good for Watford. He releases Ikechi Anya on the overlap, his ball is heading back across the face of goal by Troy Deeney, but Boaz Myhill bravely intervenes to punch the ball off the laces of Odion Ighalo.
Watford right on top here, West Brom camped deep in their own half. Right-back Allan Nyom saunters upfield and sends in a searching cross, but Boaz Myhill plucks it off the head of Troy Deeney.
Jose Jurado is a real box of tricks. The Spaniard leaves Gareth McAuley for dead with an audacious nutmeg before Craig Dawson slides in to clear the danger.
This is a really enterprising start by Watford. Etienne Capoue drives at the defence and dinks a teasing cross into the box, which Jose Jurado meets with an acrobatic effort over the top.
Watford midfielder Valon Behrami has taken a whack to the chops. The hosts are temporarily down to 10 while gets the blood cleared up on the sidelines.
Ikechi Anya is a slippery little pest of a winger. He draws a clumsy foul out of Craig Gardner, but the otherwise impressive Jurado mishits the free kick.
Tell you what, this is lively. A great ball over the top by Jurado springs Troy Deeney in behind, the striker takes the shot on first time from a tight angle and brings a good save out of Boaz Myhill.
Etienne Capoue, formerly of Spurs, tries to burst between Claudio Yacob and Chris Brunt and finds the door slammed unceremoniously shut in his face. The resulting free kick comes to nothing, before West Brom break and James Morrison has an ambitious long-range shot blocked.
Again Jose Manuel Jurado and Troy Deeney combine well for Watford. The Spaniard twists and turns his way to the byline before dinking in an enticing delivery that Deeney meets with a brave diving header - but his effort is well blocked. It's been an open start.
West Brom look to spring Rickie Lambert over the top with a cheeky early free kick, the striker feeds the ball to Craig Gardner but his cross eludes an unmarked Saido Berahino in the danger area.

Quote MessageI hope that Salomon Rondon's arrival at West Brom doesn't mean Saido Berahino is leaving. I think Tony Pulis needs them both. Berahino looks a happy player. It would be a mistake to let him go.
Watford on top in the early stages. Jose Jurado whips in a sizzling cross but Troy Deeney can only skim it off the top of his head and the ball fizzes wide.
Our first shot of the match and it's a good one, Watford's Odion Ighalo letting fly with an absolute rasper from 25 yards out, but Boaz Myhill is solidly behind it.
Tony Pulis has a fine record against Watford. He's only lost once against them in 11 games as a manager. His West Brom side have an early attack, but Rickie Lambert can't find Saido Berahino in the middle.
We're off! Watford playing in yellow and black, West Brom in black and white stripes.
A lingering cuddle for Tony Pulis from Quique Sanchez Flores. Bromance.
It's absolutely rocking at Vicarage Road. Every Watford player is cheered to the rafters as their name is read out.
Here we go then...the players stride out of the tunnel for the first game of top-flight football at Vicarage Road since May 2007.
