The results have been missing from the Premier League performances. I am more happy with performances than the results. I had hesitations [bringing back John Terry]. I have three central defenders ready to play. It's hard to leave someone out who is working hard. John was working with me the last 15 days. Gary Cahill played 90 minutes last Tuesday against Switzerland and John didn't. Cahill will be back playing in the Champions League next Tuesday. I had one day to work with the squad. We need the result to be adapted to the performance.

"Asmir Begovic in Chelsea's goal is not a problem for me at all. He has big shoes to fill in terms of Thibaut Courtois, but Begovic is a great keeper. He's been given this opportunity and I'm sure he'll take it.

"Look at Chelsea's stats - after four games last season Cesc Fabregas had made six goals. He's created zero so far, and Chelsea need to get him further forward into the final third, because his skillset is first class.

"Chelsea have a scalp on their head as champions - everybody playing them wants to beat them, and I don't think Chelsea are dealing with that well at all."

"John Stones will cope with playing against Chelsea today. Obviously he wanted to go there, because he handed in a transfer request, but he will want to show them what they missed out on.

"He is an outstanding footballer, he still makes mistakes but as time goes on he will make fewer and fewer."

John Stones can concentrate of his football. He's had a very positive experience. Any experience can be taken in a good way or bad way. It goes down to character and personality. The way he has handled it allowed him to mature and become a stronger personality. He's ready to have a fantastic season. Aaron Lennon hasn’t played so far this season, but looked sharp in training. No doubt he should take part. Ramiro Funes Mori has had less time to work with the group. They are both ready to give the squad a boost. Nothing has been said about Jose Mourinho [regarding the pursuit of Stones] that has been disrespectful. My worry about the transfer window is that it's open while action is under way. There is a respect between two football clubs.

MarcusNasty:  Why does Jose persist with Mikel?...Give Loftus-Cheek a chance. So infuriating! Also would like to see Kenedy today.

Cephas Ifeanyi:  Told friends that Mikel Obi will start today. He brings that solidity to the defence.

Joel Ejike Oblates:  Jose Mourinho is already under an intense pressure, if his team loses today at Goodison Park, ouch that gonna hurt more.
