  1. Championship updatepublished at 13:14

BBC Sport's Nabil Hassan is toiling away on the Championship game between QPR and Nottingham Forest. It's not a classic by any stretch - he's counting down the minutes to a half-time brew - so he'd welcome your company and input. He's over here.

  2. Poor Potters recordpublished at 13:12

    Arsenal v Stoke (15:00 BST)

Games between the Gunners and Potters usually make for tasty affairs but, on home turf, Arsenal tend to come out on top.

The Gunners have won each of their past 13 home encounters with Stoke in a sequence that dates back to 1981, although Potters boss Mark Hughes has his sights set on causing an upset.

"We feel we're better equipped with certain types of players that can maybe ask more questions of them," said Hughes.

"Certainly on their own patch they've had an indifferent start, maybe it's a good time to play them."

Josh Hammond: Naismith, you beauty! (That's a neutral's view too!)

Alex Haworth: I predict Mr Mourinho will be on his way before the end of the month.

"I don't think Asmir Begovic had much chance in getting that but my word. Everton lead by two.

"Everton played a string of passes in the build-up to that goal and there wasn't a Chelsea shirt in sight. Has there ever been a substitute come on and scored two goals in five minutes? Not bad that, really, from Steven Naismith."

Chelsea are all over the shop - Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley work the ball across the pitch to Steven Naismith who drills a left-footed shot across Asmir Begovic and into the back of the net.

Got the Scot in your Fantasy Football team? You're in luck. As are Everton, who almost sold him to Norwich on TDD...

  6. 'De Bruyne fee will soon be forgotten'published at 13:06

Crystal Palace v Manchester City (15:00 BST)

It must feel good for Manuel Pellegrini to finally land Kevin De Bruyne. He's been casting admiring glances in the forward's direction for a long time. The Belgian has cost a few quid, but Pellegrini thinks that will soon be forgotten.

"I am sure with Kevin that, at the end of the season, no one will remember how much we paid for him," said Pellegrini., external

If I paid £54m for something, I wouldn't forget about the pricetag nine months later. I'm still fuming about spending £450 on a fridge which broke about two days after its warranty ended.

"From the way the game started I didn't think we'd be seeing a goal. And I didn't think Steven Naismith was going to get on the end of it either.

"Brendan Galloway's cross was so hard and Asmir Begovic had no chance. Now Jose Mourinho will see how his side respond."

Everton fans really want to win this one - and they've got the perfect start. Steven Naismith, who is a substitute for the injured Mo Besic, gets on the end of Brendan Galloway's superb cross to head past Asmir Begovic.

Want a dedicated live text on that? Chris Bevan's your man.

Everton, by the way, are dominating - Begovic has just made two saves to deny Arouna Kone and James McCarthy.

Manchester United v Liverpool (17:30 BST)

    Mark Lawrenson
Former Liverpool defender on Football Focus

"You would play David De Gea wouldn't you?

"By giving him a new contract Manchester United are protecting their investment. They are buying a higher transfer fee, and De Gea gets paid more money. That is business - and how football operates now.

"He's the best goalkeeper. Play him. From a players' point of view, a new contract softens the blow that you haven't signed for your boyhood idols."

Man Utd v Liverpool (17:30 BST)

It's still more than four hours until kick-off at Old Trafford, but we should know around 16:30 BST whether David De Gea has got the nod in goal. That's when Louis van Gaal will reveal his team. And maybe sing. Who knows what the Dutchman will do next?

  12. MOTD commentator's viewpublished at 12:54 British Summer Time 12 September 2015

    Watford v Swansea (15:00 BST)

    Alistair Mann

"As no top-division team was more active in the transfer window than Watford, this weekend's match will be viewed as an early opportunity to test how successful their business has been.

"As well as the 15 new players recruited, it has also seen the departures of several key players who helped them secure promotion, with the likes of Gabriele Angella, Fernando Forrestieri, Miguel Layun and Matej Vydra allowed to leave.

"The hosts haven't scored since the opening day and are winless this campaign, so the visit of a much more settled, self-assured and unbeaten Swansea will rightly be viewed with a degree of trepidation."

Not only are Watford playing one of the most in-form teams in the country, but a team which excelled against newly-promoted teams last season.

Swansea clearly didn't take Leicester, Burnley or QPR lightly last term as they recorded a double over the Clarets, took four points off Rangers and three against Leicester (losing to the Foxes on the final day of the season).

    Norwich v Bournemouth (15:00 BST)

Could there be a bit of needle in this match at Carrow Road this afternoon? The Cherries tried to sign Canaries striker Lewis Grabban in the transfer window - a bid which was rejected.

Grabban then missed Norwich's Capital One Cup victory over Rotherham and was consequently suspended for a breach of discipline.

However, Eddie Howe says there are no hard feelings, and added:, external "We're competitors, we're two teams that were in the same league last year and fought a really good battle to try and get out of the Championship, and both sides were successful. And now we're going against each other in the Premier League it should be a good match."

  19. A debut for De Bruyne?published at 12:42

    Crystal Palace v Manchester City

It's second versus first at Selhurst Park this afternoon, but Manchester City are missing David Silva for a fixture which they lost last season. No bother... they'll just have to throw in £54m signing Kevin De Bruyne instead.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini can't wait to see his new boy in action: "Kevin is an important player, like Raheem (Sterling), he has characteristics we need.

"His position is easy to settle in our team. He will be a very important player for us. He's in the squad list, we'll see whether he starts.

"He's a young player and he's improved a lot since he was last in the Premier League."

"Branislav Ivanovic has been all over the place, John Terry looks ropy, Nemanja Matic? Diego Costa? And generally they have been undercooked with their fitness, too."
