Ryder Cup golfer and Celtic fan Stephen Gallacher in Malmo

"A lot rides on this, not just for Celtic but for Scottish teams. There's a big windfall. If we keep a clean sheet we're through. You'd have thought Malmo had won the Champions League, the way they celebrated (at the end of the first leg)."

So what do you make of Celtic's defence this evening? Emilio Izaguirre drops to the bench and in at left-back comes Charlie Mulgrew, while Mikael Lustig is out of the squad completely, having failed to recover from the hamstring injury in the first leg against the Swedes. Saidy Janko takes his place on the right side of the back four, with Virgil van Dijk and Dedryck Boyata in the middle.

Celtic are a different beast from the side who were knocked out not once, but twice from the play-off stage last year. A reprieve after defeat by Legia Warsaw, who fielded an ineligible player, gave them a second chance but Ronny Deila's team could not find a way past Maribor.

Celtic suffered heartache at this stage last season, being eliminated 2-1 on aggregate by Slovenian side NK Maribor.

But Deila believes Celtic now have a better understanding and team spirit than a year ago.

Malmo manager, Age Hareida told reporters at Monday's media conference: "Celtic are capable of defending. I think they are more of an international side than Salzburg (last year's play-off opponents) and they know what to do at an away ground."

The Norwegian believes compatriot Ronny Deila's team will be difficult to break down.

Jo Inge Berget's second goal at Celtic Park has given the Swedes a huge boost going into tonight's fixture.

His last-gasp goal means it will be a tense evening for fans of both sides, with only one goal in it.
