Only one automatic qualifying spot is still being scrapped for - and that is in Group H.

Italy have already qualified and can win the group with a draw at home to Norway this evening.

Should Norway fail to beat Italy, Croatia can leapfrog them into second and an automatic qualification spot with victory over Malta.

    Belgium v Israel (19:45 BST)

Here's news that is not going to please Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini. I can almost hear the usually mild-mannered Chilean tutting at his laptop right now...

Belgium have already qualified for Euro 2016 but have included defender Vincent Kompany and forward Kevin De Bruyne from the start against Israel in Brussels.

Kompany has been missing for City since limping out of the Champions League defeat against Juventus on 15 September with a calf injury.

City are at home to Bournemouth on Saturday.

"Nothing changes," is the message from Wales boss Chris Coleman as he talks to the television cameras in the Cardiff City Stadium tunnel. "Clinical..professional...we've got to perform.."

Coleman knows an expected win could help his team pip Belgium to top spot in Group B.

  5. Wales's finest football team?published at 19:28

    Wales v Andorra (19:45 BST)

Comparing football teams from different generations is always a difficult task - but one which we just love doing anyway. So where does Chris Coleman's side rank among the greatest Welsh football teams?

Better than the 1958 World Cup quarter-finalists which boasted John Charles, Ivor Allchurch and Cliff Jones? Former Red Dragons skipper Barry Horne isn't convinced.

"They may or not be the best ever Wales team," he tells BBC Radio 5 live. "I'm not a fan of comparing past players to current players, or past teams to current teams.

"But they are the only Welsh team to qualify by the conventional means - so they have done something that no other Wales team has done, let's put it that way."

  6. Almost the nightmare start...published at 19:26

    Wales v Andorra (19:45 BST)

Cast your mind back to September 2014. Go on, it's not that long ago.

Brendan Rodgers still had his feet firmly under the Anfield manager's desk. New Manchester United forward Radamel Falcao was still regarded as one of Europe's hottest properties. And Wales's qualifying campaign almost began with embarrassment. I know, it's hard to believe.

Wales were losing before Gareth Bale rode to the rescue with a first-half equaliser and then a late winner. The opponents? Tonight's visitors Andorra!

Bale's heroics meant Wales narrowly avoided becoming first team not to beat Andorra in 41 European qualifiers....

The atmosphere is building at the Cardiff City Stadium, and the Super Furry Animals are back to play a three-song set like they did when Wales beat Belgium 1-0 in June.

That was an unforgettable evening in Cardiff, a stirring atmosphere inspiring Wales to a famous win which was arguably the highlight of a historic campaign.

It probably won't be as dramatic a game against minnows Andorra but, with Wales' Euro 2016 qualification already assured, it promises to be a similarly electric occasion.

Netherlands v Czech Republic (19:45 BST)

Newcastle midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum set the Netherlands on the way to victory over Kazakhstan with a goal on Saturday, and here he is rallying the troops ahead of tonight's crucial fixture at home to the Czech Republic.

Fearless, powerful, untamed... as inspirational symbols go, a lion is not bad. This particular specimen is kind of orange, too, and of course we all know that's the colour of choice, external over there.

But wouldn't it be safer for people just to wave a carrot about?

The question should not be what has gone wrong but what has gone right. We are one of the few countries in Europe, alongside the likes of the Faroe Islands and Liechtenstein, that probably won’t take part in Euro 2016. It is not the fault of the manager Danny Blind because I think the damage was done earlier."

Can we really be set for a summer tournament without the Netherlands?

It's shaping up that way - the Dutch must beat the Czech Republic at home and hope third-placed Turkey lose against Iceland to secure a play-off place.

Finishing level on points won't be good enough - even with a better goal difference - because Uefa separates teams according to their head-to-head record, and Fatih Terim's Turkey have the edge.

Their fate is out of their hands then. And the Czech Republic and Iceland have both already qualified. What kind of a performance can we expect from those two?

There’s something strange going on at the Cardiff City Stadium tonight. Wales are playing and everybody is smiling - there is a warm glow of contentment about the place.

With a history punctuated by near misses and agonising failure, anxiety and fear have reigned at Wales games in recent years.

But now Chris Coleman’s side have qualified for Euro 2016 with a game to spare, tonight’s campaign finale against Andorra is simply a party to celebrate Wales reaching a first major tournament since the 1958 World Cup.

Wales started their campaign with an unconvincing 2-1 win in Andorra but they have transformed their fortunes since, and the sell-out crowd in Cardiff will hope the winless visitors are in no mood to try and spoil what should be a delirious party.
