If any team look like getting the second goal in this game, it's Southampton. They are in control at the moment, moving the ball around nicely.

Anthony Martial with his first sniff at goal, spinning at the edge of the Southampton area, but his shot is wild and into the stands. He had more time there and could have taken the ball on.

Shocking defending and United get away with one. Superb play from big man Graziano Pelle to turn Daley Blind on the edge of the area, before getting a low shot away that strikes the bottom of the post.

Southampton can get at United here, their defence is looking very shaky early on in this game.

Southampton getting on top now. Dusan Tadic whips a lovely ball into the box from the left, which Marcos Rojo has to stretch to and concede a corner.

First effort on goal. Smart build up from the home side as Graziano Pelle outmuscles Daley Blind to get the ball.

It eventually reaches Serbian Dusan Tadic, who drags side shot wide of goal.

Juan Mata with a long punt forward towards Anthony Martial, but the Frenchman is never going to win that against the tall, strong Dutchman Virgil van Dijk.

Southampton right-back for the day Maya Yoshida and United full-back Marcos Rojo will be happy to be in their positions today as a wide shadow from the stadium roofing is providing shade for them in the sun.

Morgan Schneiderlin on the ball for the away side, but no boos from the crowd which is good to see.

Two minutes in and United already trying to exert their authority, looking to get the ball down and play their patient style of play.

The travelling fans are in fine voice and reminding everyone how many times they have won the league title.
