"That was a seven-man wall for Crystal Palace. I wondered whether Alex McCarthy would be able to see the ball. The sun also seemed to be in his eyes a little bit. The shot was fairly straight but he took no chances in lifting it over.

"Good spell from Spurs, they're gripping the game, putting Palace on the back foot."

It's Erik Lamela who shrugs off fellow Eric, Dier, to take the set-piece and he forces Alex McCarthy into a good save!

That's my fear Webbo. Can't see Premier League sides queuing up around a tea urn these days.

Spurs win a free-kick in a good spot, just outside the box.

Yannick Bolasie has moved out to the left since that half-time change, with Frazier Campbell through the middle. He scored three times during his time on loan at White Hart Lane.

It won't surprise you to hear that Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie has racked up the top speed so far today - being clocked at 32.76 km/h. Swift.

Do footballers still drink tea at half-time? I hope so.

Spurs have come out at pace here, Nacer Chadli and Son Heung-min linking up well but then running out of turf.

"Son Heung-minsprinted 60 yards there. Great pressure - that kind of energy will really endear him to the Tottenham fans.

"Alex McCarthy was still drinking his half-time cup of tea."

  9. CLOSE!published at 45 mins

Home fans love this. Son Heung-min closes down a lost cause, pressuring Palace keeper Alex McCarthy as he clears a backpass, and putting in a huge effort to get there. He does too, blocking the clearance and the ball flies five yards wide of the vacant net!

And here he is. Frazier Campbell on, Wilfried Zaha off. Campbell had a season on loan with Spurs as part of the Dimitar Berbatov deal.

The TV cameras pick out a bunch of Tottenham fans draped in the South Korea flag - their boy Son Heung-min was an infrequent threat during the first half but looks like he can add plenty of zip and pace to this Tottenham team.

Palace sub Frazier Campbell looks to be coming on. Palace are lacking a 'proper' front man. From false nine to real hope?

Spurs have failed to score in the first half in their last 11 league games against Palace, last doing so in January 1993.

Teddy Sheringham scored twice in the first-half of that game. Bring back Teddy!

    Bradley Allen
Former QPR striker on BBC London 94.9

"Crystal Palace did start to release the shackles a bit as the half wore on, but for much of it they were very deep in defence. I don't think their performance really merited a goal.

"I wonder if this is going to be an afternoon for Andros Townsend to come off the bench and provide Spurs with a bit of inspiration for the all-important first goal."

"Yohan Cabaye's shot was beautiful. Outside of the foot, he beat Hugo Lloris but the post came to Spurs' rescue. It was a real daisy-cutter."

    All square at the break.

Palace have scored 11 of their 14 goals this season in the second half. So stick with it.

  19. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 45 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Crystal Palace

Lovely effort! Palace look like they have overdone a nice break down the left but they eventually work it right across the area, Yohan Cabaye is wide on the right and drives in a shot with the outside of his boot, plenty of swerve and it thumps the base of the post.

    Would have been a stunner!

Nacer Chadli skips down the left, stands up a cross which is a teaser, a tester, and Alex Mccarthy can only push it over his own bar. Lovely ball in.

Can either side find a goal before the break?
