    Bournemouth 1-0 Watford

BBC Sport's Mark Mitchener at Vitality Stadium: "Bournemouth have been threatening this for a while - Simon Francis and Matt Ritchie combine well down the right to work some space, and Ritchie's pin-point cross is met with a textbook header from Glenn Murray, who raises his arm aloft to salute his first Cherries goal. It's the first time Watford have conceded before half-time this season - '1-0 to the champions' sing the home fans."

    Norwich 0-1 Leicester

Norwich look in a state of disarray all of a sudden as Marc Albrighton's low cross from right is screaming out to be tapped in but Jeff Schlupp is inches away from converting on the stretch...

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:30

    Sunderland 2-0 West Ham

Sunderland could be further ahead, too. Steven Fletcher was set free but his low shot was saved by Adrian, and then Adrian saved well form John O'Shea too.

    Glenn Murray (29 mins)

I said earlier that Matt Ritchie had been causing Watford real problems, and he is the key to unlocking their defence as Bournemouth take the lead. Ritchie lifts in a cross, Glenn Murray rises and heads home.

The goals continue to come in the Championship. It is now QPR 1-2 Bolton, with Liam Feeney doubling the away side's lead before Jay Emmanuel-Thomas getting one back. Chris Martin has proved to be trouble for Brentford, giving Derby the lead at Pride Park. And two Jordan Rhodes goals (the second a penalty) means it is Blackburn 2-0 Ipswich.

In League One, Peterborough lead Millwall 2-0, Port Vale are 1-0 against Sheffield United and bottom-club Crewe are losing 1-0 at Chesterfield

  8. goal

GOAL - Norwich 0-1 Leicesterpublished at 15:27 British Summer Time 3 October 2015

    Jamie Vardy (Pen 28 mins)

England's best striker on current form? Jamie Vardy makes no mistake, tearing in off a fast-bowler's run-up and smashing the penalty high into the net.

    Man City 0-1 Newcastle

In this fixture last season, Manchester City were 3-0 up by now. As it is, they are lucky not to be losing by that score. Ayoze Perez is twice flagged just offside, before Aleksandar Mitrovic heads over and then sees a close-range effort blocked.

City are all over the place.

Jamie Vardy is a pest and he is tripped by Seb Bassong...

    Sunderland 2-0 West Ham

    Graeme Le Saux
Former England defender on Final Score

"Terrible defending by West Ham, Payet gave the ball away and Lens poached the ball, got to the edge of the box and dinked the ball over the goalkeeper. A lovely delicate finish."

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:25

    Norwich 0-0 Leicester

Leicester well on top now and a flurry of crosses leads to a chance for Danny Drinkwater at the back post, but John Ruddy makes himself big to block the shot well.

Things are looking up for the sides from the north East, to the surprise of Newcastle and Sunderland fans...

Steve Gibbs: Sunderland AND Newcastle winning? *rubs eyes in disbelief.

David Ljunggren: Wow, Newcastle scored away from home. I shall have to have a lie-down

Steve Tiu: Stadium of Light turns into Stadium of Life.

    Jeremain Lens (22 mins)

Dick Advocaat looks emotional now as Sunderland  go 2-0 up! Sloppy play from West Ham as they cough up possession cheaply i midfield but the finish is brilliant. Jeremain Lens looks up and chips Adrian from 22 yards, the ball perfectly clipping the underside of the crossbar on its way in.

Dick's pre-match speech must have been incredible...

    Bournemouth 0-0 Watford

Watford have their first real chance of the game as full-back Nyom cuts in from the right and has a pop at goal. His shot is blocked, though. Speaking of shots (or lack of), there has not been one on target yet.

  16. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:20

    Norwich 0-0 Leicester

Both sides look neat and tidy, both teams yet to fashion a chance. The game to be won from the bench?

Leicester want a penalty as Jeff Schlupp has his shirt pulled.

  17. Easy for Fletcherpublished at 15:21 British Summer Time 3 October 2015

    Sunderland 1-0 West Ham

Steven Fletcher's goal looks pretty simple in its execution, but he ran from deep and was helped by a nice blocking run by Sunderland team-mate John O'Shea. It was a nice finish.

Plenty of teams have followed Reading's lead in the Championship by scoring early goals. Joe Mason has given Cardiff the lead at leaders Brighton, it is Bristol City 1-0 MK Dons thanks to Jonathan Kodija, and Gary Madine's goal means Bolton lead at QPR.

Meanwhile, the leaders of Leagues One and Two are both ahead. Gillingham are 1-0 up against Oldham through Rory Donnelly's goal and Luke O'Nien has put Wycombe in front against Northampton.
