On Friday, Jose Mourinho was in typically feisty form as he denied newspaper reports, external of problems between him and captain John Terry.

"Normally when bad results happen the first thing that comes into your laptops, iPads and pens is to find a dramatic story: 'Somebody punch somebody in the dressing room', 'The manager doesn't want to speak with this guy'," said Mourinho.

"Diego Costa fought with John Terry and before they start the fight they brought a translator for them to understand each other, because Diego cannot speak English and John cannot speak Spanish'.

"You [the media] always go in this direction, which is funny. The other direction you don't go is the direction which is real."

Mourinho must enjoy falling out with people, it must give him a warm buzz inside. Chelsea physios Eva Carneiro and Jon Fearn felt his wrath earlier this season, being demoted from the bench.

The latest to catch him in a spiky mood was BBC Sport reporter Ben Smith, who labelled his question as "stupid", adding that he has "nothing to show to anyone."

So, onto the Premier League chat with a look at today's game, and we start with the biggie.

Portuguese boss Jose Mourinho and Frenchman Arsene Wenger don't see eye to eye. The pair severed ties in Mourinho's first spell at Chelsea. Angry at Wenger constantly talking about his team, he referred to his rival as being "a voyeur".

The pair even traded blows while Mourinho was at Real Madrid, as Wenger said "it was pity to see" midfielder Xabi Alonso and defender Sergio Ramos getting booked for tactical reasons against Galatasaray.

February 2014 saw Mourinho brand Wenger "a specialist in failure" while in October that year, the verbals turned physical on the touchline at the Bridge.

At the Community Shield this season, the pair failed to shake hands with each other.

What, in old money, used to be the back page of The Daily Telegraph is actually the front page of their sport section.

Anyway, it has a picture of a smiling Petr Cech, as he faces his old club Chelsea for the first time in the Premier League.

The 33-year-old goalkeeper managed to get one over the Blues when Arsenal won the Community Shield in August.

Will he still be smiling come 14:30 BST this afternoon?

Interestingly, they also have an interview with new Manchester City signing Kevin De Bruyne, who claims Jose Mourinho "only ever spoke to me twice" in his time at Stamford Bridge.

You might have had a heavy Friday evening, after a long week at work, so nothing too arduous to start off with. Let's just take a look at some back pages.

The Sun - as well as most of the other nationals - say Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho WILL offer to take hands, external with old foe Arsene Wenger.

The pair have had a messy public fallout and failed to acknowledge each other at the Community Shield in August.

Yes, the latest installment of Mourinho v Wenger takes centre stage at Stamford Bridge this lunchtime, with both managers under pressure.

Champions Chelsea are struggling in the league, while Arsenal come into the game on the back of a disappointing Champions League defeat against Dinamo Zagreb.

Lose today and the Blues may well have suffered a knockout blow in their quest to retain the title. A defeat for the red side and the #WengerOut brigade will be out in force.
