    Manchester City 1-2 West Ham

The Hammers pull off another big shock, adding to their wins at Arsenal and Liverpool. What a rearguard action in that second half. City battered them but they held on by their fingernails.

This is City's first defeat of the league campaign and first dropped points.

    Man City 1-2 West Ham

    BBC Radio Manchester
David White, former Man City and England winger

"West Ham have defended brilliantly, to be fair. They are all behind the ball, aside from Jelavic who is miles away from any of his team-mates.

"On reflection, have City fashioned any great chances in this second half? For all City's possession they haven't really carved out opportunities."

Ant in Essex (Arsenal fan): "Cannot understand why Arsene Wenger didn't buy a striker in the summer. He knew about Danny Welbeck's injury before the close of the transfer window but he still didnt buy a striker. Why? WHY?"

It remains Manchester City 1-2 West Ham. I'm not sure how. The home side have been battering at the door but somehow West Ham have kept it closed.

There are just over five minutes left. Can the Hammers hold on?

Tom, Arsenal fan:  "If Mike Dean says in his report that he was happy with the decisions he made today, then I would imagine he won't be refereeing in the Premier League next week"

  12. Costa debatepublished at 19:08

    Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal

West Ham may be about to take the title for day's biggest Premier League result, but undoubtedly the most controversial game is Chelsea's 2-0 win over nine-man Arsenal. Diego Costa's display in the game has attracted most attention...

    Garth Crooks
    Final Score

"The Berahino situation was well-managed by Tony Pulis. It's what they're paid to do, but it's the hardest job for a manager. Get it wrong and that dressing room turns into a bear-pit."

  14. Manager reactionpublished at 19:06

    Aston Villa 0-1 West Brom

West Brom boss Tony Pulis, whose side beat Aston Villa 1-0 at Villa Park thanks to Saido Berahino's goal: "I thought we played really well today and were the better team - Villa can’t have any complaints. We deserved it, there's no doubt.

"This game was made for Saido. He’s not played a lot of football and looked tired as the game went on, but he was desperate to play and he has the quality that we want and need. Everyone in this room has made mistakes - in a few years time he will look back on the situation and think he should have done better. But it's over now, we move on, as a club we move on and he's a very good player.

"We all work hard and the whole group work. We showed today that if you have a team playing like a team it's very hard to do anything against us. But during the game Villa didn't open us up once."
