Damilare Joseph:   I wouldn't want to play Leicester City in this their comeback form. you just are never guaranteed a lead until final whistle.

  2. CLOSE!published at 16:38

    Stoke 2-2 Leicester

One would suggest that the odds of somebody nicking a late winner are rather high. Stoke recover from the blow of letting a two-goal slip, attacking through Xherdan Shaqiri who tees up Geoff Cameron with a cross from the left. But the American heads agonisingly wide.

Moments later, Shaqiri - known as the Alpine Messi (I kid you not) - stings the palms of Kasper Schmeichel with a dipping free-kick. This match could swing either way...

  3. Leicester are going backwards?published at 16:37

    Stoke 2-2 Leicester

This seems strange on the face of it: looking at Leicester's second goal in graphical form, it starts with Danny Drinkwater (no.4) running with the ball for about 30 yards in the wrong direction after collecting Kasper Schmeichel's clearance near the Stoke area.

But going backwards obviously paid off because once Drinkwater was in his own half, he found Riyad Mahrez, who played in Jamie Vardy... and the result was the equaliser.

  4. League Two latestpublished at 16:37

There are surprises in the league today. The top four are all level in their matches.

Fifth-place Morecambe are losing 4-1 at home to Northampton and sixth-place Exeter are losing 4-0 at Accrington.

At the other end, Newport are still holding on for their second point of the season - it remains 0-0 against Dagenham & Redbridge.

  5. Postpublished at 16:36

    Newcastle 1-2 Watford

Siem de Jong with a chance for Newcastle after a strong run from Georginio Wijnaldum but the striker's shot is tame and easily saved by Heurelho Gomes.

  6. "McClaren has a lot of work to do"published at 16:34

    Newcastle 1-2 Watford

    Garth Crooks
    Final Score

"All credit to Watford, who look like they have deserved this result, though I'm really frustrated by the Newcastle performance. They have been poor, they have no cutting edge and Steve McClaren has a lot of work to do."

  7. Stoke "very, very nervous"published at 16:34

    Stoke 2-2 Leicester

    Garth Crooks
    Final Score

"Stoke fans and their players will now be very, very nervous..."

  8. Postpublished at 16:33

    Swansea 0-0 Everton

How have Everton not scored here?! Firstly, a low cross from the right evades forwards, sticking out legs. Then, as the attack continues from the other side, Brendan Galloway's shot is deflected over by the head of Ashley Williams.

  9. RED CARD - Younes Kaboul (Sunderland)published at 16:31

    Bournemouth 2-0 Sunderland

Younes Kaboul fouls Callum WilsonImage source, PA

Ding ding - we have a winner by total knockout in the battle between Callum Wilson and Younes Kaboul. Bournemouth striker Wilson scurries clear of the away defence, forcing the lumbering Kaboul to clatter him on the edge of the Sunderland box. Second yellow = red. Bad day at the office for the Black Cats skipper.

  10. "A bit of a football match on our hands"published at 16:31 British Summer Time 19 September 2015

    Aston Villa 0-1 West Brom

    Martin Keown
    BBC Radio 5 live

"We've got a bit of a football match on our hands here, and everything Villa are producing is coming via Jack Grealish."

  11. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 16:30

    Aston Villa 0-1 West Brom

Moment of controversy at Villa Park. Villa skipper Micah Richards heads in a cross from Jack Grealish, who is fouled seconds after pinging in the ball. However, referee Martin Atkinson has already blown the whistle for the foul. Can't see Tim Sherwood being happy about that...

  12. League One latestpublished at 16:30

Walsall will take top spot from Gillingham if matters remain as they are. They lead 1-0 at Peterborough, while Gillingham are still losing 2-1 at Colchester

Newcastle striker Adam Armstrong has scored his sixth goal of his loan spell at Coventry. The Sky Blues lead Chesterfield 1-0. Wigan look set to move into the top six if they hold on to their 2-1 lead over Fleetwood.

  13. Postpublished at 16:30

    Swansea 0-0 Everton

Swansea's Bafetimbi Gomis looks to assert himself on the game with a stinging shot from 18 yards which Tim Howard has to palm away. Too hot to handle.

  14. Postpublished at 16:26

    Newcastle 1-2 Watford

Now Siem de Jong has a chance for Newcastle. To be fair, the cross from the right was just a touch too high for him and he can only glance his header wide of the far post. It is all Newcastle now. Watford clinging on to the lead.

  15. CLOSE!published at 16:25

    Newcastle 1-2 Watford

But for Heurelho Gomes, Newcastle would be level. It is goalscorer Daryl Janmaat again, firing a rising shot towards the top corner from 25 yards and glaring skywards in frustration as the Watford keeper dives to claw it away. The full-back is attempting a one-man salvage job for the home side.

  16. goal

    GOAL - Stoke 2-2 Leicesterpublished at 16:25

    Jamie Vardy (69 mins)

The comeback kings are level! Leicester striker Jamie Vardy wriggles clear of the last Stoke defender following a quick break, planting the ball past Jack Butland. Stoke are furious. Mark Hughes is screaming at anyone within earshot because he thinks the Potters should have been given a free-kick at the other end.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:24

    Aston Villa 0-1 West Brom

And that episode (see below) is Saido Berahino's last involvement. Goal scored, hug from his gaffer and a decent reception from the away fans. He is replaced by ex-Villain Craig Gardner.

  18. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 16:23

    Aston Villa 0-1 West Brom

Who'd be a referee eh? Villa aren't happy because they reckon Saido Berahino stopped Alan Hutton's cross with his arm inside his own box. And the Baggies aren't happy because they don't reckon it is a handball. The referee thinks it is a handball, only outside the area. So, basically no-one is happy. Oh, and the free-kick came to nothing.

  19. Newcastle crosses not finding their targetpublished at 16:23

    Newcastle 1-2 Watford

Newcastle's goal came from Moussa Sissoko's pass from the right inside the area but the Magpies have not had much joy with deliveries from further out wide. Only two crosses in open play have found a team-mate inside the area.

  20. Janmaat has "a bit of bottle"published at 16:22

    Newcastle 1-2 Watford

    Garth Crooks
    Final Score

"Janmaat is one of the few players in the Newcastle side that has a bit of bottle, a bit of something about him. Newcastle are in trouble and he is trying to affect the game."
