That Manchester United v Liverpool match was very good in the second half. Let's hope for a repeat as the sides come back out of their respective dressing rooms. Phil Jones is discussing something with referee Mark Clattemburg - I don't recall any particularly contentious decisions...

This is only the second Premier League game this season not to have a shot on target in the first half (other is United v Liverpool).

United came out that day and scored three fine goals - perhaps they will raise their game again?

Brian Evans: You'd think with all this talent,the game would be exciting, second half better improve, not the best impression of Premier League.

Yaya Toure's free-kick is deflected wide and from the corner he drifts a header just wide of the far corner. A nearly-decent-semi-half chance.

Juan Mata is caught on the ball by Fernandinho, danger here, but Mata reacts with a team foul, bringing the Brazilian down before he could find Wilfried Bony. Booked. 

Free-kick for City in a good spot though. 

Wayne Rooney gets away from Bacary Sagna, great strength, he cuts inside - and then plays a poor ball which doesn't find Anthony Martial. The game in a nutshell.

Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne has got himself into a lot of good positions on the right - but has struggled to find a decent cross. The most eye-catching moment of the first half has been Wayne Rooney having his head (not his hair) stapled on the touchline.

Caolan Markey: Martial with his class should score today will be close 1-1 or 2-1 United. 

Max Welford: Both sides are playing too passive and aren't taking any risks! Either De Bruyne, or Martial will put their side ahead. 

Chris Glover: Martial has such strength and skill, looks dangerous every time he has the ball.

A frustrating spell of play as Raheem Sterling wastes a good crossing opportunity from wide on the left. City looking perhaps the better side but both teams lacking any composure or class in the final third. David Silva is a big miss.
