    Newcastle 0-0 Stoke

After a frenetic start at St James' Park, things have settled down a little bit. The two defences are on top... for now.

    Manchester City 0-0 Norwich

Oh, Wilfried Bony, you've got to score son. The City striker is given a clear sight of goal, with just John Ruddy to beat, but he somehow scoops his shot wide. Sergio Aguero would have buried that, even on one leg.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Man Utd

Wayne Rooney stands over a free-kick 25 yards out. Straight at the keeper. Nothing to see here.

    Chris Sutton
Former Norwich striker on Final Score

"I can understand he is upset, but at the moment he's thinking the whole world is against him and at times he's acting like a big baby. The team are not playing well enough. I don't think Chelsea were doing enough to win the game. Are we seeing the real Mourinho? It's the first time things have really gone wrong and he's not handling himself well at all."

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Man Utd

We said we'd mention when Manchester United cross the halfway line and we're not one to break our promise.

Finally some breathing space for the visitors as Wayne Rooney picks up the ball in the hole, sprays a pass out wide to Ander Herrera on the right but the Spaniard's low cross is cut out by Damien Delaney.

    West Brom 0-0 Leicester

Not much to report at The Hawthorns, where two expertly coached teams are cancelling each other out. Marc Albrighton is the latest to try his luck with a low shot which curls well wide of the post.

Ayoade: I believe that like a number of outfield English players at Manchester City, Sterling will get used to sitting on the bench.

Ahmed: Not a bad start by MUFC. 13 minutes, no shots on target.

Ajay: Klopp, Wenger, van Gaal and Pellegrini hoping that Mourinho stays and continues disastrous record.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Man Utd

Manchester United fans are amusing themselves by signing songs about Eric Cantona. Selhurst Park was, of course, the scene of the most famous kung-fu kick in football back in the nineties.

  9. CLOSE!published at 15:17

    Newcastle 0-0 Stoke

If Jon Walters hadn't cut his toenails last night, Stoke would be in front now.

The evergreen/grey (get it?) striker is inches away from turning in Charlie Adam's deep, low cross. Think Gazza at Euro 96. Yeah, that close!

  10. CLOSE!published at 15:16

    Swansea 0-0 Arsenal

Joel Campbell's first sight of goal at Swansea sees the Costa Rican come in from the right to latch on to a ball and curl a shot just past the far post.

It is a rare effort on goal in the game so far and very close to a goal on Arsenal forward Campbell's first Premier League start.

    Manchester City 0-0 Norwich

Norwich are enjoying a decent spell at the Etihad. Alex Tettey has all the space in the world to volley on goal following a cross from the left but his effort strikes a defender. The ball is swung back in and flicked past the hands of Joe Hart by a Norwich head but wide of the far post.

We'll let you know when Manchester United cross the halfway line. It's not happened yet.

They are being battered by Palace... but still the scores remain blank.

    But for how long?

    Newcastle 0-0 Stoke

Stoke City may have made the long trip to the north east this afternoon, but it's a home game for defender Marc Muniesa.

  15. Postpublished at 15:13

    Newcastle 0-0 Stoke

It's turning into a tasty encounter up in the north-east. Both sides are pouring upfield and trading chances like two heavyweights slugging it out.

Speaking of heavyweights... Aleksandar Mitrovic looks up for it today.

Anything can happen. All bets are off.

Teenage Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho got the loudest cheer when the teams were read out earlier, and it is fair to say their fans are looking for a repeat of his full home debut against Crystal Palace in the Capital One Cup in midweek when he scored one and made two more goals. Iheanacho is ostensibly a number 10 today in his first Premier League start, behind Wilfried Bony, but the 19-year-old Nigerian has been the one sprinting on to balls behind the Norwich defence in the opening minutes.

    Watford 0-0 West Ham

How have Watford not scored? Nathan Ake's header from a corner is saved by Adrian before the Hornets player has a second effort blocked, as do both Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney. The last shot brings shouts for a penalty for handball but the ref isn't interested.

Off the bar! Yannick Bolasie's angled shot is a lick of paint from putting the Eagles in front.

Alan Pardew's men are bossing this now - Scott Dann having a header tipped over by David De Gea.

All Palace. There's nothing boring about Pards' boys.

    Chelsea 1-3 Liverpool

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho on BBC Sport: “I can’t express my feelings in any way at all. You are not just here to interview me. You are also here to see the game. What I see from my players was good until the moment they felt it was impossible to do better.

[When asked about Lucas]. "I don’t speak."

"The fans are not stupid, I don’t need to tell them anything. They know how much myself and the players are trying. They know why they are getting bad results. The fight goes on, but sometimes there are fights very impossible to win. You go to a fight with different ammunition. I can play against any team or manager.”
