Full commentary of El Clasico - Real Madrid v Barcelona - is on BBC Radio 5 live from 17:15 GMT but the good folk of Gloucestershire are gearing up for...El Glosico.

County rivals Cheltenham Town and Forest Green Rovers meet in the National League and, just like at the Bernabeu, it is a first-versus-second, clash.

Hosts Cheltenham lead the fifth-tier by one point from Forest Green.

  2. Huge day...published at 12:03

Thanks Mandeep. Afternoon everyone. All well? Of course you are, Premier League football is back. We're around 40 minutes away from our first top-flight game of the day between Watford and Manchester United.

It's also a huge day of football outside the top tier as well. Paul Lambert's first game in charge of Blackburn is a Lancashire derby at Preston, it's second versus first in League One and the Devon derby in League Two.

Elsewhere, it's El Clasico later but, closer to home, is anyone going to El Glosico?

  4. 'Chelsea will give someone a hiding'published at 11:59

    Chelsea v Norwich (15:00 GMT)

Chelsea are still easily capable of stringing together victories and finishing in the top four, says former England defender Danny Mills.

“At Leeds in the early 2000s, we were 15th and went on to finish fourth," Mills told 5 live Sport. "Everyone says it is not possible to go on a late surge – but it is.

"You look at the quality of the rest of the Premier League, no-one is blowing it away. If Chelsea can get that win and go on a run they have the players to do it. The squad is still exceptional.

"At some point they will give someone a hiding to nothing. Norwich will be hoping ‘please not us today’."

Watford striker Troy Deeney says he has "proved people wrong all my life" and invited six former inmates from his time in prison to his side's game against Manchester United today.

So we want to know which player has proved you wrong, in a good or a bad way.

Jon Hare: Jose Mourinho had me convinced he was the special one! Guess he has proved me wrong...

Ashley Waters: Letting our goalie take a penalty on his birthday at 3-1 up, skies it and we concede two goals in the last 5 minutes.

Rarely a bad idea to let a 'keeper take a penalty...

All other league games will take place as normal.

Anderlecht are the only team from Brussels in the league an there will be no football matches in Brussels today.

  9. 'Hope Chelsea slump continues'published at 11:44

    Chelsea v Norwich (15:00 GMT)

Norwich boss Alex Neil has his own problems with his side not having won an away game in the league since 15 August and he is hoping to change that statistic and add to the pressure on Chelsea.

"Everybody is thinking why has it happened, but with the quality they have got, Chelsea are capable of turning it around," said Neil.

"They were the top team in the country last year, but we just have to hope that slump continues so we can get something out of the match.

"The capability of what they have as a squad is really high, it is no secret they have not been hitting those capabilities this year.

"However, we have to make sure we are at our best, to play as well as we can and if we do that, then we have a chance."

  13. 'I want to have responsisbility'published at 11:29

    Chelsea v Norwich (15:00 GMT)

You might think Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho cannot wait for the January transfer window to open so he can bring in some fresh faces and ship out some of the team's under-performing players. Well, it appears not.

The Portuguese says he does not "have the right" to ask the club for signings in January and wants the players currently at his disposal to get them out of their lowly 16th position.

"I would be more than happy to be myself and the squad that I have now. I am happy with my players, I trust the players," said Mourinho.

"If I ask for players, or if the club gives me a handful of players, it's like taking the responsibility (away from) us and saying we need extra to reach our objectives.

"I want to have the responsibility in my hands, I want the players to have the responsibility."

Right, on to the three o'clockers. A match between 15th and 16th might not sound that appealing but when one of those teams is Chelsea.....whooahhh.....then it takes on a whole new level.

If you need reminding (and I'm sure Blues boss Jose Mourinho won't), the Stamford Bridge outfit have lost seven of their 12 league games in defence of their title.

Norwich go into the game a place higher than their opponents, which would have been quite an achievement had Chelsea not been so bad. The Canaries aren't in great form though as they've won once in seven league games.

    Danny Mills
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 live

“It’s one of those games where Raheem Sterling is either going to be unbelievable or dismal, I can’t see him having an average game.

“He will either come back and haunt Liverpool the crowd,  the pressure will get to him. I don’t think he has lived up to expectation yet.

“For the price tag, he has I would be expecting more from him."
