Sergio Aguero must start for Manchester City if he is fit enough for selection, says former England keeper Paul Robinson.

"If he has trained and says he is fit he should play. They miss Aguero. He is that edge they have over the other top teams," he said on 5 live Sport.

“His finishing ability, his strength, his movement - when the teamsheet comes into the away dressing room and his name is there, it carries much more weight.

“He’s very clever – a lot cleverer than other players. He will hit the ball when you’re not expecting it, he doesn’t even look when he is going to shoot."

We're teaming up with the Danny Baker Show to ask: Have you ever got the blame for something you didn't do either on or near a football pitch?

I was playing in a Sunday League football match but was not registered. When I was booked I couldn't remember the name of the player I was supposed to be played as, so I gave my brothers name who was also playing. Unfortunately he later was booked and the ref sent him off for two yellows. My brother blamed me for years!

Whoever sent this in has forgotten to include their name...

    Meanwhile, in Fifa world...

The Fifa panel investigating corruption allegations has called for sanctions to be taken against president Sepp Blatter and vice-president Michel Platini.

The investigatory chamber of Fifa's ethics committee has passed its findings on to adjudicatory chamber chairman Hans-Joachim Eckert.

    Hearings are expected before Christmas.

On Wednesday, Blatter and Platini had appeals against 90-day provisional bans rejected by Fifa's appeals committee. Both deny wrongdoing.

Watford v Man Utd (12:45 GMT)

Watford captain Troy Deeney has fulfilled a promise made in prison by inviting six former inmates to watch him play Manchester United.

Deeney, 27, served three months of a 10-month prison sentence in 2012 for affray, following a violent brawl that left four students injured.

He said: "I've got my cellmates coming - I told them it would all come true.

"I have proved people wrong all my life. When people write me off, that's when I perform my best."

Watford v Man Utd (12:45 GMT)

Newly-promoted Watford's decision to play two strikers is one of the key forces behind their impressive start, according to Times journalist Rory Smith.

“I’ve been surprised they are playing Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo as a two," Smith told 5 live Sport.

"They are one of a few teams that does that and it has worked really well for them. Deeney says he thinks that it tends to surprise teams, when they are confronted by two big powerful strikers who work really hard."

  13. Hornets backed to survivepublished at 09:55

Watford v Man Utd (12:45 GMT)

Watford have already shown enough quality to look like they will earn Premier League survival, believes former England keeper Paul Robinson.

"They have done well this season, to be honest I’m really surprised because of the turnover of players over the summer and the new manager coming in," he told 5 live Sport.

"Out of the three teams coming up from the Championship, I thought they were least equipped to survive. But I’ve been really impressed with the way Quique Flores has set them up and their style."

Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores has impressed in his first job in English football, having led the Hornets to 11th in the Premier League at present. The secret, it seems, is his love for the game in this country.

"We (foreign managers) love this profession," he said. "If you love this profession, there are more things to love in England. That's why.

"It is completely different, I confirm. In what way? There is everything to love. You are able to love everything." (Easy tiger)

The Spaniard added: "I always thought it would be hard. This league is very tough. What I have proved to myself is that all of the good signals I had from afar were right."

    Anthony MartialImage source, PA

One of the reasons Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is putting pressure on Memphis Depay to deliver is the club's current injury crisis. Van Gaal will be without six players for the trip to watford, including strikers Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney.

Martial, 19, was injured in France's friendly international against England on Tuesday, while Rooney is ill.

Michael Carrick, injured in England's friendly against Spain, joins Marouane Fellaini, Antonio Valencia and Luke Shaw on the treatment table.

Van Gaal also says striker James Wilson is not fit to play 90 minutes.

Memphis Depay has scored just once in the Premier League since his summer switch from PSV Eindhoven and has not featured at all in the past four league fixtures, with Jesse Lingard moving ahead of him.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal wants more from the "inconsistent" 21-year-old, who scored 22 goals as PSV secured their first Dutch title since 2007-08 last season.

"Of course [I expect more] because otherwise he would still be in the team," said Van Gaal.

"But players in that age are not consistent. I don't have a quarrel with the player - it's a matter of form."

  20. Nice-but-dull Man Utdpublished at 09:17

Watford v Man Utd (12:45 GMT)

Today's action gets under way at Vicarage Road in the lunchtime kick-off.

Manchester United have got a reputation as a side which is more effective than exciting under manager Louis Van Gaal, with ex-Red Devil Paul Scholes one of the biggest critics of the style - or lack of it - from the current class from Old Trafford.

Watford have only let in four goals in six top flight games at Vicarage Road so far this season. The problem for the Hornets is that they've only scored three times in the league at home.

Scholesy might want to give this one a miss if he wants goals.
