Almost time for the resumption at Wembley. Good news - of sorts - coming in from Hannover where German officials say no explosives have been found and no arrests made.

Earlier, the match between Germany and the Netherlands was cancelled because of a "concrete threat".

It was a spine-tingling moment as fans within Wembley rose as one to sing La Marseillaise. Big screens inside the stadium showed the lyrics to the anthem and both sets of supporters united in a display of solidarity. A mosaic of cards was held aloft to display a giant Tricolour flag at one end of the ground. Some of the French players were close to being overwhelmed with emotion. Both squads then stood together, as a group, while the crowd applauded. A minute's silence was then observed. Following such devastation and grief, this was a poignant - and beautifully observed - occasion as football reflected, remembered and ultimately stood defiant against terrorism.

I saw a fair bit of Dele Alli in League One and I have to be honest, I didn't expect him to break into the Tottenham team this season. He's just scored a brilliant goal for England.

Could he be in the squad - the side - at Euro 2016?

Really positive performance from England compared to how dismal and lacking in conviction it was on Friday. the tempo is better. They are playing a Premier League style of football and it suits the team. It is what they are used to.

What a fantastic goal that is. I was saying before that Alli has everything. He had no right to win that challenge 40 yards from goal. He didn't shirk responsibility, slid in and won the ball and then jumped straight up to collect the ball. It maybe just clipped Koscielny but I don't think Lloris would have saved it. Alli has a fantastic chance between now and the end of the season to seal one of those places in England's midfield.

Rich applause rings out at Wembley after a stirring hour or so. First the united anthems and minute's silence, then a very competitive and decent half of football, glossed by a superb goal from Dele Alli.

England's front three have France in all kinds of bother as again they break with pace. Ross Barkley sends Raheem Sterling away down the left, he has Harry Kane and Wayne Rooney over but decides to cut in and shoot - just wide.

A wonderful goal! What a way to mark your full England debut. Dele Alli starts the move with a crunching tackle in midfield, he then gets the ball back and shoots from, what, 25 yards? The ball brushes off the thigh of Laurent Koscielny but flies past Spurs team-mate Hugo Lloris. A stunning strike.

Are there more young internationals lurking in League One waiting to be discovered? Dele Alli has had an amazing year.

Wembley just quietening down now as we approach half-time. The area behind Hugo Lloris' goal is now full of scrunched up paper as spectators dispose of the cards they used to make a mosaic of the Tricolore pre-kick-off.

Dele Alli is strong, tall and powerful. He has technique and can pick a pass. Most importantly, at 19 years of age he has 80 games under his belt. Once you get that competitive edge you can step into any league if you have the talent. That is what separates him out from other young English players.

Denmark 0-1 Sweden (agg 1-3), Slovenia 1-0 Ukraine (agg 1-2)

Later tonight we will know which two nations will complete the Euro 2016 finals line-up. That could be after another 45 minutes of football, or we might need extra-time and possibly penalties.

As it stands at half-time in these two matches, Sweden and Ukraine will take the final two spots.

Sweden lead 1-0 at half-time of their second leg against Denmark, while Ukraine trail on the night - but are still ahead on aggregate - in Slovenia.

A great ball from Harry Kane to Wayne Rooney. I thought he had done Koscielny but he cut back inside on to his weaker left foot and just fired it over the bar. Another great counter-attack from England.

England playing some really nice stuff tonight, as well as I can remember them playing for a long time. They have real energy and pace in this young XI and break nicely when France lose the ball.

Harry Kane is able to find Wayne Rooney charging down the right, he runs at Laurent Koscielny and shoots left-footed, the ball curling away from Hugo Lloris but just beyond the corner.

In the moments before kick-off England defender Kyle Walker made a point of seeking out his Tottenham team-mate, the France goalkeeper and captain Hugo Lloris, for a warm embrace and brief chat.

I think this is the best game we've seen at Wembley for a long time. It may be a friendly but it is competitive. It is a great opportunity for some of these young players to play against a good French side and show they are worth their place.

Dele Alli has had a fine start to the season for Spurs and drives on through the centre of midfield twice in a few moments. First he tees up Harry Kane for a blocked shot and then wins a free-kick which Wayne Rooney hits at Hugo Lloris.
