England are moving the ball so much quicker than Friday night. The tempo is higher and they look more comfortable doing that. They may give the ball away playing at this pace but it is a more Premier League style and they look better for it.

Eric Dier - on his first start for England - starts a decent move which almost ends with Raheem Sterling being played in on goal but Hugo Lloris is alert in the France goal to sweep up. The crowd are still offering plenty of support to both sides as Manchester United forward Anthony Martial flies past Nathaniel Clyne and shoots low - well held by Joe Hart.

Sam Jenkins: Football, so often a great divider. Not tonight. Quite spectacular to see and hear La Marseillaise ringing around Wembley.

Another rendition of La Marseillaise rings out from the France fans followed by 'Allez Les Bleus!'

The loudest away fans I can recall at an England game wereGhana a few yearsago but those in the blue of France are making plenty of noise too.

The first chances for either side. First France break away and Yohan Cabaye shoots just over the top from 22 yards, and then Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris finds club colleague Harry Kane with a miscued clearance. Kane is in on goal - but chooses to cross instead of shoot and it's dealt with.

Denmark 0-1 Sweden (agg 1-3), Slovenia 1-0 Ukraine (agg 1-2)

Two important goals in the Euro 2016 play-offs taking place tonight.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has put Sweden ahead in Denmark, meaning the home side now need to score at least twice if they are going to reach the Euro 2016 finals.

The Paris St-Germain striker's first-time finish is his 10th goal in his past 10 qualifiers.

Slovenia already knew they needed two goals minimum tonight - and they have netted one of them against Ukraine.

Captain Bostjan Cesar, perhaps lucky to still be on the pitch after appearing to elbow an Ukrainian opponent in the opening five minutes, heads in from close range after 11 minutes.

It has been quite a bright start. There was a long wait for both teams to get started but they seem eager to get out and play football. It is almost a release of tension.

Great emotion at Wembley as both sets of supporters sang "La Marseillaise" and then France and England's teams mixed together for a team photograph - a gesture of unity that prompted huge applause around the stadium.

It was a very moving moment and the minute's silence was beautifully observed. And it has been clear from the moment Wembley's doors opened that the French following are very appreciative of the understanding, support and sympathy they have been afforded.

The France fans, perched high in a corner of Wembley, are waving the Tricolore but it is noticeable that many England fans around the stadium are also waving the blue, white and red.

Any thoughts that this game would be played at a testimonial pace are put to one side in a frantic opening. Left-back Lucas Digne wins the ball high up the pitch and almost puts England in danger as a few heavy tackles come in in midfield. Competitive enough start.

I have to say the England fans are much maligned at times, but what a gesture. Not one person broke the minute of silence. It was very respectful. It is a sign that life does go on and we are together.

Football - the sideshow tonight really - now takes centre stage, albeit rather uneasily. England get us under way.

Another neat touch of solidarity for the minute's silence at Wembley, as instead of lining up facing one another the players spread out and encircle the centre-spot England-France-England-France and so on.

Many players have their eyes closed. Some looking to the heavens as they remember the events of Friday night.

The full 46 or so members of both matchday squads unite, hand in hand, for a pre-match photo in the centre circle. Again - to hearty applause from Royalty and Prime Minister David Cameron.

This is a strange atmosphere for an international friendly - but it's also the best I can remember.

Wembley gives 'La Marseillaise' a very decent rendition indeed as the far side of Wembley hold up cards to spell out the Tricolore.

Arsene Wenger is among the crowd singing away heartily.

Huge applause and cheers at the end of an anthem. A great moment.

PA announcements are being read out in English and French tonight. The announcement of the France anthem gets a huge cheer from the visiting fans.

First up is God Save the Queen - which is fairly muted inside Wembley.

Fans inside Wembley tonight have been asked to sing along with the French national anthem 'La Marseillaise'.

If you want to join in at home, here are the words:

Allons, enfants de la PatrieLe jour de gloire est arrivé!Contre nous, de la tyrannieL'étendard sanglant est levéEntendez-vous dans les campagnesMugir ces féroces soldats?Ils viennent jusque dans nos brasÉgorger nos fils, nos compagnes!
