    Stoke 2-0 Man City

Man City look horrendous at the moment. Bojan dribbles into the area and has Martin Demichelis back pedaling. Two Man City defenders come to help him out and they get in a right pickle before getting it clear.

And now here's Erik Peters crossing from the left - it's perfect for Marko Arnautovic and he nods inches wide. Stoke have been brilliant.

if Xherdan Shaqiri has been a 10 out of 10, Marko Arnautovic has been a 9.5. He gets away down the left this time but can't find a team-mate with his square ball.

"This is an absolute joy to watch. Stoke, and the standard of football they are playing... Their front four raised eyebrows but boy have they looked fantastic today. They are tearing this Manchester City defence to shreds!"

The quality of the small teams have not gone up. The quality of the big teams have gone down that's why results like this are happening. Champions League has also provided evidence of this. Premier League just doesn't have the quality it did five years ago.

And at the other end Marko Arnautovic gets a brief glimpse of goal on the angle. He opts to pull back than have a go and the chance is gone.

Guess who found him with the pass though? Xherdan Shaqiri.

Kevin De Bruyne decides to try and single-handily get Man City back into this. He wins the ball from a Stoke corner and charges all the way to the Stoke goal-line, but David Silva can't gather his cross.

Ah, maybe it will just take a tackle from Bacary Sagna. Marko Arnautivic is caught by a good tackle from the Man City defender and stays down for a moment - but he's back up again.

Marko Arnautovic is struggling - limping around a little bit. I'm sure it'd take a hundred horses to drag from him from the field.

"When you're missing big players like Sergio Aguero or Yaya Toure, you hope for someone else to step up - and usually it's David Silva but he's not involved at all. Manchester City are being bullied in midfield.

"Player for player, Stoke are a long way ahead. But it's not just the fight and desire. It's also the skill."

Raheem Sterling - you silly boy. He goes down under contact from Geoff Cameron and the Man City forward immediately puts his hands on the ball in anticipation of a free-kick. Referee Martin Atkinson says "no foul". It was the wrong decision but players assuming they'll win a decision gets on my nerves.

Nine touches, two assists for Xherdan Shaqiri. He's really enjoying himself so far.

At this rate we could be in for a real goal-fest...

Xherdan Shaqiri once again making mince meat of Aleksandar Kolarov, and it's another great cross, but Man City cope with it - just about.

Man City cannot get going. Stoke are putting on pressure - but only when City enter their own half.

Bacary Sagna does clip in a cross from the byeline but Raheem Sterling can't find a team-mate with his knock down.

Moments before that goal, Kevin De Bruyne had wriggled free in the Stoke area and forced a great low save from Jack Butland. It could have been oh so different. But it's not.

"Extraordinary. Xherdan Shaqiri has only had about three touches and yet he's made two goals. It's a really lovely pass but the two Manchester City centre-backs were static."

    Marko Arnautovic

No, the scoreline is not a mistake. Stunning from Stoke and it's the same combo as the first goal.

Xherdan Shaqiri has space in the hole and slides through an exquisite ball into the right channel of the area. Marko Arnautovic is onto it ahead of Bacary Sagna and drags a first-time shot past Joe Hart.
