Jordan Ayew attempts a bicycle kick in the box for Aston Villa but it's blocked by a Leicester defender. Villa not playing too badly at the moment.

"There's been a little bit of pressure applied by Villa since the second half started, and the supporters have reacted by backing their team."

Aly Cissokho, playing like an Aston Villa Roberto Carlos, has another effort but it's saved by keeper Kasper Schmeichel. He's had two of Villa's three shots on target.

From the corner, Idrissa Gana has a shot from 30 yards which doesn't even make the box because it's cut out.

Paul Evans: why is nobody seeing vardy clearly offside for the goal

Kevin Wright: I think there is more chance of Lord Lucan being found in the Holte end than Villa getting back into this.

  10. Sloppy Foxespublished at 18:28

    Aston Villa 0-1 Leicester

Leicester's passing has been pretty atrocious if you dissect the stats so far.

Marc Albrighton (55%), Robert Huth (57%), Christian Fuchs (61%) and Shinji Okazaki (64%) the worst offenders.

All of Villa's players are doing better than that... bar Libor Kozak (47.6%).

Vancouver Foxes: Game should be over, by far the better side. More goals will come.

Joseph Trotter: Mahrez approached that penalty like an afternoon tea with his aunt. Casual bordering on lackadaisical.

As things stand Leicester are top of the table. And, well you know where Villa are.

If you were wondering about that penalty decision, here, from the FA website, are the rules on handball

I personally felt it was a penalty as Aly Cissokho had his hands in the air as the ball was flying towards goal - it was intentional in my eyes. But Jonathan Pearce disagrees.

Maybe we'll fight over it in the BBC canteen tomorrow.

  14. 'A tinge of regret for Leicester'published at 18:19

    Aston Villa 0-1 Leicester

    Matt Elliott
Former Leicester City captain on BBC Radio Leicester

"There will be a tinge of regret for Leicester, leading just 1-0 at half-time. But the Foxes' performance has been confident, dominant, decisive. They have looked a level above in truth.

"I don't want to be too rude about Villa though. There's still a half of football to play."

    Jonathan Pearce
Match of the Day commentator at Villa Park

"At half-time Leicester lead with Shinji Okazaki's goal. Claudio Ranieri knows they should be 2-0 up but they squandered a penalty.

"Maybe justice was done after a harsh handball decision against Aly Cissokho. Yet again Villa need to come from behind."

  16. HALF-TIME - Aston Villa 0-1 Leicesterpublished at 18:17

A very common theme this season. Aston Villa are losing. Leicester City are winning.

    Aston Villa 0-1 Leicester

No doubt Jamie Vardy's inspired lob has helped divide these sides but the England striker has had just 13 touches of the ball - that's fewer than any player on the pitch.

Does he not know he's on the verge of getting the axe from my fantasy football team? Does he not care?!

Tony Madden: If Manchester United lose De Gea to Real Madrid then Kasper Schmeichel would be a fantastic replacement #safehands #likefatherlikeson #GreatDane.

Aidan William: back to the top of the table as it stands and I'm happy. Might support another team but it is very refreshing for the PL.

Idrissa Gana drives a shot over for Villa - that's their fifth effort of the game. At least they're having a go.
