Absolutely stunning goal from Reading's Danny Williams.
You won't see many better struck half-volleys this season. Just what the home fans wanted at the start of Brian McDermott's return.
Before that, the best chance had fallen to Blackburn after striker Fode Koita headed unmarked just over the crossbar from eight yards out after a dangerous delivery from Craig Conway's free-kick.

Quote MessageHe has absolutely thumped that past the keeper. What a finish! And he meant it. You could see by the way he shaped his body that when that ball dropped, he was going to shoot. It nearly took the net off.

Leeds v Preston and Reading v Blackburn are under way.
Leeds v Preston (15:00 GMT)
Preston manager Simon Grayson is back on familiar territory today - he takes his North End side to Leeds.
Grayson is a Leeds fan, began his playing career at the club and also had a successful spell as manager at Elland Road.
He told BBC Radio Lancashire: "I had some good times there. I left though, and that's obviously a big disappointment in my career, but it happens in football.
"I'll be going back at the weekend to do what we did at Burnley and many other clubs - to get three points."
Leeds v Preston (15:00 GMT)
Sam Byram's future at Leeds United has been up for discussion again this week, after the youngster scored twice in Thursday's 3-2 win at Wolves.
The versatile 22-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and is yet to agree a new deal - something head coach Steve Evans is keen to resolve as soon as possible.
Evans told BBC Radio Leeds: "He has to sign a contract - we can't just sit there and say the player controls the football club, not when you're Leeds United.
"We love the kid to bits. You want him to do well but we want him to commit his future."
Reading v Blackburn (15:00 GMT)
So far, so good for Paul Lambert at Blackburn. Rovers are unbeaten in the five games since their new manager took charge.
Today they come up against another side with a new boss - Brian McDermott's Reading.
"The first thing you need to conquer is the 'new manager' syndrome," Lambert told BBC Radio Lancashire. "We're not playing against a manager - we're playing 11 against 11.
"If we've got any aspirations to get around the top six, we have to do what we've been doing in the five games I've been here, which is play with a high tempo, high pressing game to try to win the game."
Reading v Blackburn (15:00 GMT)
Almost three years after being sacked by the club, Brian McDermott is back as Reading manager.
McDermott led the Royals into the Premier League during his first spell in charge.
"I haven't come back for sentimental reasons, it's professional," said McDermott.
"We've got some really strong players and there's a great squad out there who will all work together.
"We need to get some momentum, that's the most important thing. This league is all about momentum."
Right then, time to preview our two 15:00 GMT kick-offs in the Championship...
Sheff Weds 2-1 Wolves
Sheffield Wednesday will be spending Christmas just one point off the play-off places as it stands.
Benik Afobe gave Wolves the lead from the penalty spot before Fernando Forestieri levelled for the hosts with a penalty of his own just four minutes later.
The Italian then put the hosts in front in the 25th minute after he got on to Lucas Joao's knockdown.
The hosts have a great chance to make it 3-1 just before the break after Carl Ikeme is adjudged to have picked up a backpass.
Portugal international Lucas Joao sees his effort crack against the crossbar, possibly via a touch from Ikeme.
Bizarre end to the half.
All three of today's Championship games can be heard on BBC local radio.
The BBC Radio Leeds team are in festive spirits at Elland Road for Leeds v Preston.
Sheff Weds 2-1 Wolves
Wolves midfielder Kevin McDonald is the second player in the book today. He's shown a yellow card after a very strong tackle on Owls full-back Daniel Pudil. The former Sheffield United man joins team-mate Jack Price on a yellow card.
Brilliant work from Wolves keeper Carl Ikeme keeps his side in the game.
He denies Lucas Joao and Fernando Forestieri in quick succession before Ross Wallace eventually directs his effort off target.
