  5. 'Austin could throw Villa a lifeline'published at 16:50 Greenwich Mean Time 28 December 2015

    Norwich 2-0 Aston Villa

    Garth Crooks
Former Spurs striker on Final Score

"I think it is going to be very difficult for Aston Villa to come back from this. This was a very important game for Villa. They're on eight points. It will be very difficult. If they could convince Charlie Austin to come to Villa Park it could yet be do-able but whether he can be convinced to come is a big question."

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:50

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Swansea

"It is such hard luck for Watford as they have fought so hard. Gomes punches the ball away and Trippier half-volleys it back in, Son then back-flicks in through Gomes' legs. It is the most unorthodox goal."

    Son Heung-min

Ahem, ignore what I said a couple of entries ago, because Tottenham looked to have nicked this at the death.

Son Heung-min's effort goes through the legs of Heurelho Gomes. Embarrassing for the keeper.

Nothing to see here. Lots of keep ball, a booking here and there, that's it.

    Move along.

    Dieumerci Mbokani (87 mins)

    That's Aston Villa done.

It's all too easy for Norwich, as Wes Hoolahan picks outs Dieumerci Mbokani, who plants a header into the bottom corner with aplomb.

  19. 'This game is too close to call'published at 16:41 Greenwich Mean Time 28 December 2015

    Everton 3-3 Stoke

    Garth Crooks
Former Spurs striker on Final Score

"Tim Howard has done well to get his hand on the ball. He thinks he's cleared the danger, but he hasn't - Joselu thunders a shot past him. It's too close to call who could win this game. The goal from Shaqiri is for me the goal of the season. I never seen anything quite like it."

Victor Anichebe. He is past one, past another, through on goal, surely? Great save by Karl Darlow. It has been a mixed debut for the Newcastle keeper, but that could prove an important save if the visitors find an equaliser.

    Eight minutes left.
