    Gent 0-0 Wolfsburg

Gent will be happy to still be level after a nervy opening half an hour. Can they now compose an attack worthy of the name themselves?

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:11 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2016

    Gent 0-0 Wolfsburg

Closest we've come to a goal yet, and it was almost calamitous stuff. Wolfsburg find space on the right again, Max Arnold cuts it across and Gent defender Stefan Mitrovic has to deal with it. He nods the ball back, but it's flying into the corner of his own net until Matz Sels gets a slight touch and turns it away.

Another Wolfsburg attack, another testing low ball in from Sebastian Jung but there's no man in a white shirt to turn it home.

    Roma 0-0 Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo is really hugging the left touchline, like an old-fashioned winger, but as a result he has barely had a touch. Just 13 in the first 20 minutes in fact.

    Roma 0-0 Real Madrid

Roma looking good now as they get in behind down their right-hand side for a second time, Nobody in grey is tracking the runs from Diego Perotti and his low cross is turned over by Miralem Pjanic, under heavy pressure.

  10. CLOSE!published at 20:02 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2016

    Gent 0-0 Wolfsburg

For possession and territory, it's all Wolfsburg but the hosts have arguably had the best chance of the match so far with Laurent Depoitre's cute knockback creating space for Thomas Foket and the Belgian should have done better than to swing wild and wide from 12 yards.

    Gent 0-0 Wolfsburg

It looks like only a matter of time before Wolfsburg edge ahead with an away goal. They are finding far too much time and space and only an excellent clearance from Sven Kums cuts out a testing low cross.

    Roma 0-0 Real Madrid

Mohamed Salah again causes Real Madrid problems as the Egyptian tears up the pitch on a swift counter attack. He's too quick for his team-mates though and he runs out of room. Roma then put together a neat move but Sergio Ramos reads a flick from Diego Perotti and clears. Classy.

    Gent 0-0 Wolfsburg

Gent are struggling to find a foothold in the game, there's certainly been no sign of a stampede from the Buffalos as of yet.

    Roma 0-0 Real Madrid

Roma have to soak up a spell of Real pressure but then open the valve and let off some steam by sending Mo Salah away. The one-time, briefly, Chelsea man has all sorts of pace but trips over the ball when he had Stephan El Shaarawy in space to his left. A missed opportunity...

    Gent 0-0 Wolfsburg

German side Wolfsburg are making the early running, and Julian Draxler cuts in off his station on the left and flashes a shot just over the top. Draxler was drafted in last summer to replace Kevin de Bruyne and there were shades of the Belgian in that attack.

    Roma 0-0 Real Madrid

Toni Kroos dictating play from very deep for Real Madrid, almost a third centre-back, like a Rodgers-era Gerrard in fact. The Spanish giants move the ball slickly and quickly as the Roma fans begin to jeer in the stands above.

  17. KICK-OFFpublished at 19:47 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2016

    Roma 0-0 Real Madrid

A huge roar greets Roma attacking with gusto straight from kick-off but Real shut it down successfully enough.

    Gent 0-0 Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg seize on a loose, perhaps nervy pass at the back from Gent inside the first 20 seconds but Max Kruse can only head wide. Decent opening right from the off!

Roma v Real Madrid (19:45 GMT)

Real are in that grey flannel kit tonight, I'm not a fan. You can tell that is a chilly one in Rome as the mascots are wearing about four layers...
