England have run out of legs a little bit. The first-half performance was tremendous but it's had an effect on three or four of them. Maybe Jamie Vardy can come onto this left-hand side instead of Raheem Sterling?

SJ: For all their endeavour and industrialism, that final touch just hasn't been there.

Mark Carter: We need a fox in that box. Time for Vardy to have a party

Johnny Magrinho: Played like Spurs in the first half. Playing like Arsenal in the second. Pass, pass, pass with no end result. Please. Just score..

Not happening for Raheem Sterling as two pieces of tentative play, perhaps betraying a lack of confidence, bring groans of frustration from  England's fans.

Russia are threatening more as England's intensity levels drop. When will manager Roy Hodgson consider a change?

Oh, that was close. Joe Hart was worried. He dives full length to his right as Oleg Shatov looks to curl in a shot from 20 yards. He is beaten but the ball nips past the post. And breathe.

Rufus Buford: Raheem Sterling - all pace, no composure or end product in final third.

Seth Egoeh: Raheem Sterling's final balls are like Arsenal's finishes in the EPL over the last 12 years. Disappointing!

Lukas Stasica: Would love to see Rashford come on soon.

Russia carry a little bit of a threat from corners. They are delivering the ball in well and with pace. England are playing a lot slower now, they looked more natural in the first half.

Russia look dangerous now. England need to be vigilant. Another corner poses a challenge but the danger disappears as Vasili Berezutski glances a header wide.

Nerves. Russia win a corner and swing the ball in to the box where Eric Dier's head meets it and causes Joe Hart to backtrack to tip the ball over. Soon after, Aleksandr Golovin tries from range but misses by a distance.

Roy Hodgson is looking a lot calmer now. Wonder if he's thinking of a change? England need a goal and they have got some good players on the bench. Jamie Vardy and Marcus Rashford would relish the chance.

There is just a touch of frustration coming across from the stands now. The England fans have been treated to a good display but they know their side need to capitalise when they can. Sterling gets a chance to run at the Russian defence but hits a pass straight at his marker, ending the attack, to huge groans.

England have not come out with the same intensity as the first half. That's the problem when you don't get that goal, it allows the opposition to adjust. As soon as England raise the tempo they start causing Russia problems.
