    Belgium 0-1 Italy

    Thierry Henry
Former France International on BBC One

Sometimes it is about passion and desire. As a player you need to look at yourself in the mirror and ask 'am I playing well?'

Hugh Rodger: Belgium are like what England used to be. Big names, no spark.

Bobby Dean: Belgium - too many players in too many systems across too many clubs. That's what we mean by individuals.

John Dykes: Belgium have such a great squad on paper but so far they're about as good as my portion control.

  3. Belgium changes?published at 20:54 British Summer Time 13 June 2016

    Belgium 0-1 Italy

Belgium boss Marc Wilmots has some decent options on the substitutes bench.

After that first half performance surely he will be thinking of making changes at the start of the second half. No one would blame him.

Time for Mousa Dembele to get involved?

This Italian team are very fit. As quick as they attack they always get back. It is brilliant the way they are drilled.

  5. 'Typical Italy'published at 20:49 British Summer Time 13 June 2016

    Belgium 0-1 Italy

    Thierry Henry
Former France International on BBC One

That is very Italian. This is what they can do. I haven't seen an Italian side try to play out from the back for a long time.

  6. HALF-TIME - Belgium 0-1 Italypublished at 20:47 British Summer Time 13 June 2016

It should be 2-0 and Graziano Pelle will still be wondering how he did not score. But Italy have their noses in front. Belgium have it all to do.

Kevin de Bruyne has come to life and it is no surprise he has come from the right-hand side into the middle behind Romelu Lukaku where we saw him so devastating for Manchester City.

Just talking about game management - getting everything right and in the right shape. Italy have five across midfield now, seeing the game through to half-time.

Another foul. Another lecture from Mark Clattenburg. The English official is certainly making his presence felt. This time it is Daniele de Rossi on the receiving end of a talking to. The Roma midfielder can consider himself told.

Will Lindsey: The Italians may not have the best side, but they are well drilled and play for each other! You can never write them off

Aaron: Italy are very underrated to be honest. Nearly every tournament they're in, no one rates them yet they have 4 World Cups.

Joe Wedgwood: Hardly the most exciting but NOBODY manages a football match like Italy. Positionally and tactically stunning.

    What has happened to Belgium?

The decent start they made already seems a long time ago, Marouane Fellaini digs out a pass to Axel Witsel on the edge of the area but his shot is poor.

    Italy are looking comfortable.

I cannot believe Pelle has missed it.

If there is anyone you want it to fall to in that position it is Graziano Pelle.

    Italy are on the rampage.

Another chance as Antonio Candreva lashes a shot towards the net but Thibaut Courtois beats it away.

Then Belgium's defence goes missing allowing Graziano Pelle a free header but he heads wastefully wide. How costly will that prove?

    Emanuele Giaccherini

Another delicious goal at Euro 2016.

Italy take the lead as Leonardo Bonucci, who is just about inside his own half, pings the pass of the tournament to Emanuele Giaccherini inside the Belgium area.

Giaccherini needs one touch before burying the ball low and hard. Wonderfully made. Wonderfully finished.

    Belgium 0-0 Italy

This is what is known as a slow-burner. There's plenty of action in midfield but chances are few and far between.

Here come Italy on the charge. Graziano Pelle has the ball at his feet just outside the area and the Southampton man attempts to curl a shot beyond Thibaut Courtois.

It's a decent effort and it brings the crowd to life.
