It is game over. Tottenham's title bid marches on. City's is falling apart. That is five wins in a row for Spurs, but two straight home defeats for their opponents.

Frantic. Desperate. City come so close to a leveller as Sergio Aguero chips a cross in, which Hugo Lloris punches away from Nicolas Otamendi before David Silva fires over from eight yards out. It leaves the French keeper on the floor and needing treatment. Surely that is game over?

Spurs are digging in. Hanging on. Mauricio Pochettino screams from the touchline, calling for one last big effort. City are pressing...

City have a corner. Can they snatch a point?

Four minutes added. Erik Lamela eats into that by breaking and holding the ball near the corner flag before he is dispossessed. 

Harry Kane's work is done. He is replaced by Nacer Chadli, who immediately sets off chasing the ball.

Christian Eriksen has made a real impact of late for Spurs. He has had a hand in five goals in his last five Premier League games (3 goals, 2 assists).

In contrast, Sergio Aguero is struggling here. He can't get the ball under control and then plays a pass straight out of play from the edge of the Spurs box.

Oh, so close from Harry Kane, who unleashes a thunderbolt from 30 yards out. It fizzes past the near post of Joe Hart's goal. The Etihad is quiet now, but for the singing Spurs fans. That Eriksen goal has knocked the stuffing out of the home support.

"Absolutely magnificent play from Lamela. Yaya Toure was out of position and Lamela broke clear of him. 

"The run of Eriksen, right in between two centre-halves, and his first touch sensational and put it past Joe Hart."

Man City corner as Sergio Aguero's shot is deflected behind. The corner is flicked on towards Toure but cleared before he can reach him by a Spurs player.

"The run for the goal as well, Iheanacho hung out, ran late into the box, it was a great ball and then inside of his boot into the top corner. Lloris had no chance."

Kelechi Iheanacho is proving to be sometyhing of a super-sub for City. No player has scored more goals after coming off the bench than he this season (3). He's not bad when he starts either, as Aston Villa fans will tell you. 

City are smelling a win. Yaya Toure unleashes a fierce drive from an angle from 25 yards and it requires Hugo Lloris to punch away.
