City make a change with Kelechi Iheanacho on for Fernando. Striker for defensive midfielder.

Every decision that goes against City is greeted by a volley of abuse from the stands. Sergio Aguero is flagged offside. I'm sure the linesman with his flag up can feel vitriolic spit hitting the back of his neck from screaming City supporters.

Shamim: As a THFC fan it was fairly obvious that was not a penalty. Facing away, ball hit his back first. Terrible decision.

Paul Phillips: If we're going to call that a handball, then we might as well just pack up and go home. NEVER in a million years a handball.

Jonathan, Oxford: I'm a Spurs fan and grateful, but it's an inexplicable handball decision. Sorry Man City.   

City have Spurs pinned in their own half. David Silva tries a shot from the edge of the box but it is blocked by an away defender. You can see on the City faces that they are still riled by the penalty decision. They feel very hard done by.

Just a moment to comment on Harry Kane. That penalty was his 15th goal in his last 17 Premier League appearances. He has 37 Premier League goals since the start of last season - only Sergio Aguero has more in that time (40).

Tim Riley: Disgraceful decision. Were this rugby it would have been overturned

Hugh Rodger: And it never even touched Sterling's arm! Very, very poor decision.

Jonathan Cowley: Outrageous decision. Not handball AND outside the box. Unbelievable. Standard of refereeing is abysmal in this country.

The home fans are very unhappy. Mark Clattenburg has sparked their fury with that penalty call. Down on the pitch, the home side have the bit between their teeth. They will need to overcome an almighty obstacle, though. Spurs have only conceded nine goals in the second half of games this season - the best record in the Premier League
