Former Portsmouth and Bournemouth midfielder Darren Anderton: "Eddie Howe has done an amazing job at Bournemouth. I was part of the team that went down, it was really tough times for them but it is wonderful to see them in the position they are in now."

    Portsmouth v Bournemouth (15:00 GMT)

Darren Anderton has just discovered live on national television that he has not earned a place on Portsmouth's 'wall of fame'. If that isn't bad enough, he then spots Steve Claridge's mug on there. The man formerly known as 'Sicknote' looks, er, as sick at their revelation.

Never mind Dazza, those 30 England caps and World Cup memories more than make up for it.

  3. 'The league is our priority'published at 12:30 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2016

    Portsmouth v Bournemouth (15:00 GMT)

    Football Focus
    Portsmouth midfielder Michael Doyle

"This is a big week, a big game for us, playing a local rival from three leagues above. We've had a tough start in this division, the team has been rebuilt and we've brought in a lot of young and hungry players, the manager is getting the best out of them. The cup run has been a real bonus for us but getting out of the division is the priority."

We've just had a sneak peek inside the Portsmouth dressing room on Football Focus, courtesy of home skipper Michael Doyle.

Crates of isotonic drinks? Check. Matchday programmes? Check. Four pairs of multi-coloured boots for each player? Check.

Us Sunday League players have to make one pair last an entire season...

  5. Pompey to rekindle FA Cup magic?published at 12:25 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2016

    Portsmouth v Bournemouth (15:00 GMT)

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal & Aston Villa defender on Football Focus

"We're wondering if Portsmouth can rekindle some of their FA Cup history today. This is a potential banana skin for Bournemouth. The priority for them of course should be staying in the Premier League - they may rest players today - but Eddie Howe's side should have enough."

    Colchester v Tottenham (12:45 GMT)

It's the hope that kills you, they say. Well that's pretty much all that Colchester have got as they host Premier League high-fliers Spurs.

We will tell you about all the big moments as they happen in Essex, but if that doesn't fill your insatiable appetite then head over here for every cough and splutter.

    Portsmouth v Bournemouth (15:00 GMT)

Sylvain Distin has just compared himself to David Beckham on Football Focus. No, I'm not too sure why either.

The Bournemouth veteran has shown remarkable longevity over the years, performing at the top level for Newcastle, Man City, Portsmouth and Everton.

Great defender but I can't remember him smashing in a free-kick from 30 yards...

  9. Raining goals?published at 12:12 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2016

    Colchester v Tottenham (12:45 GMT)

Colchester's defence has been leakier than an umbrella which has been punctured several times with a pin. The bottom club in League One have conceded a whopping 65 goals in 28 third-tier matches this season.

And today's visitors Tottenham have been crashing in plenty of goals. Prediction? Pain.

  13. Team Newspublished at 12:02 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2016

    Colchester v Tottenham (12:45 GMT)

Colchester make three changes from the team beaten heavily by Scunthorpe last time out in League One.

Premier League fans will remember Darren Ambrose and Marvin Sordell in their squad, while George Moncur is the son of former Tottenham Hotspur, Swindon Town and West Ham midfielder John Moncur.

Colchester XI: Kean, Brindley, Wynter, Eastman, Vincent-Young; Massey, Gilbey, Garvan, Ambrose; Moncur, Porter

Spurs make seven changes from the side which beat Crystal Palace last weekend but still manage to field a very-strong looking team. Dele Alli is on the bench but Harry Kane is captain as Tom Carroll, Nabil Bentaleb and Kevin Wimmer get chances to impress

Tottenham XI: Vorm, Trippier, Dier, Wimmer, Davies; Bentaleb, Carroll; Lamela, Eriksen, Chadli; Kane

  14. Marching on togetherpublished at 11:59

    Bolton v Leeds (15:00 GMT)

Talking of decent value...Championship strugglers Bolton have slashed the admission prices for the visit of Leeds today. The result? The away team will be backed by almost 7,000 supporters across t'Pennines.

Incredible effort. Us Yorkshire folk love a bargain...

  16. Breaking team newspublished at 11:55

    Colchester v Tottenham (12:45 GMT)

Here's a blast from the past....Darren Ambrose. The former Newcastle midfielder is the stand-out name in the Colchester side. I was going to describe him as 'the veteran midfielder'...turns out he is only 31. Remarkable.

  18. Breaking team newspublished at 11:46

    Colchester v Tottenham (12:45 GMT)

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino (or one of his minions) has scrawled out the teamsheet and handed it in to the ref.

Harry Kane's name is on there - the England striker will captain a much-changed Spurs side. Much-changed but still very strong.

Boy wonder Dele Alli and regular skipper Hugo Lloris will be twiddling their thumbs on the bench.

Spurs XI: Vorm, Trippier, Dier, Wimmer, Davies; Bentaleb, Carroll; Lamela, Eriksen, Chadli; Kane.

  19. Third time lucky?published at 11:42

    Arsenal v Burnley (15:00 GMT)

Burnley hate Blackburn. It's an intense footballing and civic rivalry which goes back to the late 19th Century.

But today Burnley could keep their East Lancashire foes in the record books. Blackburn are the last club to have lifted Old Big Ears three times in a row...way back in 1896. It was that long ago, Arsene Wenger wasn't in charge at Arsenal.

Now the Frenchman's dream of leading to the Gunners to three straight FA Cup wins could be ended by Burnley. The Championship high fliers go to the Emirates today.
